Thank you and thank you for all your replies.

I hope I haven't offended anyone and that those who have and do help continue to do so.

You haven't offended me - I will still continue to read and post.

Hope you can speak to someone in Housing Advice next week regarding the rent issue.

Before you call you should really try to work out if you are in breach of the court order as that will affect the advice you are given.

Hope you have a good weekend and the sun shines so you can get all your washing dried!!

I spent last night checking back (I couldn't do it while I was away so I wasn't ignoring your questions)

I'm actually in front of the court order by £111.

The actual court officer who deals with my rent account wasn't in last week but is back on Tuesday. So I'm going to call him first thing Tuesday to discuss what's been said and that I really can't agree to an extra £30/£40 a week long term.

I'm glad I didn't offend you. I was tempted to let my diary die down into silentness because I never set out to offend or upset anyone.
  • Glad the form arrived, hopefully you'll be able to get it done and posted this week :)

Hope you get a good result from the court officer.

Please keep posting, you're doing really good and I'm cheering you from the sidelines along with the others :D xx

I knew you weren't ignoring me but thought I better remind you again as I know you were away when I suggested it and didn't want you to forget once you got back.

If you are £111 in front of the court order then there is nothing they can do - I don't understand the demand for extra money. As long as you pay the rent plus court order that should be enough.
If they tried to take you back to court the judge would just laugh at them as you aren't even close to being behind.

I guess the rent officers have been told that they have to get the arrears down and by targeting people who in the past may have been easily swayed they get their way except most of them will fail to pay as its just not affordable.

Excellent idea to speak to the court officer direct.

No offence ever taken - I moan about my DH all the time on my diary and have a plan to leave him when DD is 18 (she is 14 now) although it nearly ended last week when DH got the proper hump about things that happened on the girls weekend (all entirely innocent but we have trust issues!!) and I told him to go but he wouldnt:rotfl:

Goodness. Where do you get all your energy from? Wish I had half as much.
Good advice as ever from EE.
And you haven't offended me either (I thought it might have been the other way round).
Good luck with the court officer (but it sounds that you don't really need it) and with filling in the DLA form. Oh and the painting - I'm hopeless at that.

I don't really have any energy today I'm so tired :o will take a while to get use to 4 hours sleep again. Holiday spoilt me :rotfl:

So didn't get paint. Got the hoover instead. £26.99 spent. £20 out my purse from holiday. £6.99 out the last of the food budget. Providing the nappies do last till next shopping day we'll not have gone over budget.

I have £50 back to one side (this is the money for if youngest needs an unplanned hospital visit/stay. OH doesn't know I have this to one side but we've been caught out several times stuck in a&e with not even enough to get some water or a taxi home)

Bank balance is very sad again £12.04

But all bills have been paid along with the extra to the rent. Food shops done and we don't need school dinner money this week. OH has still bought his bus pass as he needed today's fairs along with tomorrow and next Saturday. It works put cheaper to get his weekly pass £15 rather than paying for the 3 days. Plus he can use it to visit his friends etc which I expect he'll be doing more off while he's off work.

We shouldn't need the £12 now but I'll wait before sending it over to the council tax just incase.

Think the hoover was a necessity really. wasn't it? Put your feet up and have a cup of tea,

I thought I could manage without but it just makes life hard.

It seems to take the kids 30 seconds to make enough mess to take over an hour to sweep up

Just went for the argos value pull along. It's definitely got to be better than a dustpan and brush :rotfl:

Don't dare stop posting, you are an inspiration with how you manage to make your money go such a long way :A

My job is spent helping families, the number of people who phone me to moan about their partners, MIL or children and I just listen, they then say they feel so much better just for having had a moan.
You are just having a moan on here which is a lot more safe than to anyone in the real world. Reading everyone's diaries on here it seems there is always one person in the family who is the major saver and one who is not quite as good, yes it would be so much better if both of you were just as focused but where would be the fun in that :D
