HI your current budget is unsustainable over the long term, so the only way is to increase your income is your husband claiming your tax allowance this is worth a few hundred quid a year, would he consider taking on a second job or could he have the children so you could work a little, I'm not sure how the tax credit system really works but I have in my head there is a disregard of 2.5K before it effects your claim that might be worth looking into.
Another idea that normally is probably a mad/bad idea is could you get the council tax/rent arrears an attachment of earnings on your husband's wages least then you wouldn't have the worry if you will have the money to get this paid.

    Hi Hidden

Just caught up on the last few days. Really hope the break away will help give you the energy to keep going with the situation now you are home.

It sounds like you have your children a lovely week and made some memories, which is priceless in itself.

    Thank you finally home :(

Kids still in bed it was quite a late night.

I've managed to get all the washing done now I just need to iron it. Also need to grocery shop because there's really nothing in -.- not looking forward to that with 3 kids in tow.

Have paid rent/council tax and my fine. Will pay more things later and do a proper update but we are into the 6''s small progress but better than 7's ;)

Ah the kids are brilliant. They are happy to do things that are free which is a bonus and actually preferred to go back to the caravan for food or ice cream than eat out ;) good job really :rotfl:

Have booked the week for October half term in. In exchange for me doing some cleaning and ironing for her :D I hinted I'd really enjoyed it and would love to go again. So she asked when the kids school holidays are and text back saying booked you in for October half term ;) not going to tell the kids though it can be a surprise :p

Can't turn a free holiday down ;) and will be on the same terms as this one. Food in the caravan and making use of the free things rather than spendy ones.

Going to go food shopping when other half is home so the smalls don't need to come with me. They should be in bed and it will mean I can stick to my list without sweeties being added on ;)

:j yay for another free holiday :j

It gives you something to look forward to as well, so the daily grind of money saving doesn't get too much. When I was clearing debts a few years ago I became obsessed and worked so hard and lived so frugally that I really got down and depressed which isn't like me. I think it's so important to have nice family time or else what is it all for and like you say you didn't spend much at all during this holiday, is there any chance of DH coming along as well or would that ruin it :rotfl:
