How do you make your own flat bread or wraps?
Sorry, off at a tangent but I would like to try this as I like to use these for lunches etc.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    200g wholemeal flour (or plain)
    Pinch of salt
    100ml warm water
2 tablespoons of oil (plus a bit*)

Flour and salt in the bowl slowly mix in the warm water.
Add oil and knead (if its a bit wet use a bit of flour/bit dry use water) you want it soft
Divide into 4 or 6 (I do 6) and roll out (I do to the size of my frying pan :rotfl:)

Heat the pan and wipe it with oil* (I use frylite)
2 mins each side in the hot pan and done :D

    Any oil works x

Can you tell my idea of cooking is a lot of make do and use what's in :rotfl: I don't really follow any instructions and just hope it works out

  • Put a bit of oil in one chop into strips and bake in the over for 5 mins and yum delish! Like crispy cracker breads :rotfl:

I have no idea what to have for dinner! The kids can't decide and neither can I. Has to be something with mince.

Just caught up! You can even make flatbreads without the oil, I've tried both ways and didn't even notice the lack of oil, I made sure I kneaded well. Love flat breads, children won't eat curry without them!

Ohh bet this makes them less calories too ;) will try that later for myself :p
  • Well tomorrow is the big day for the smalls!

We are all ready so just spending today doing not much! Its raining again

Will probably nip round to mums for a cuppa and natter. One of our relatives passed away this morning, not someone I am close to anymore but she is.

Roast for dinner tonight and the kids want bacon sandwiches for lunch. How unhealthy :o Not a regular thing though.
