Thank you it says I'll receive confirmation in a few days and should hear a reply within 6 weeks. Charisgrants have emailed me to confirm it's gone through okay online too x0 -
Charis Grants administer Trust Funds for a lot of the energy companies and some water companies.
Do you have water arrears?0 -
Let me get this right you are paying £34 per week just on arrears to EDF? That is way too high and I am glad you are sorting out a reduction. The priorities are the council tax and rent arrears and the fines (tv licence and ?) After you feel those are under control sort out the payments to your mum, stepdad, aunt and friend. I would also start an emergency fund for you should you have a similar situation arise in the future.
Hopefully your OH is on board now and things will get easier. Like all your other posters, I am impressed at what you have achieved today.
Some days it is easier to face the world than others so choose which battle to face on those good days.
But.... even with everything you have achieved today, it feels like you are downplaying those achievements. Please find a way to congratulate yourself.
Now this might seem a bit odd but do you have one of those elastic bands post men drop? Put it around your wrist and twang it every time you think bad thoughts about yourself. You will be amazed at how often you do it without thinking. Each time, stop and think something more positive. It only takes a second but it will focus you on the good and not the bad. I quite often say "no, actually that isn't true" out loud. I hope this helps you to focus on your achievements.
Did you mention DLA at the appointment yesterday. If not perhaps a quick call to the consultants office might help you. Do it on one of those good days.
Good luck, keep posting and keep going..... you are achieving such a lot

Yes that's correct. It just comes off the meter when we top up. I'd have never have thought I could ask for it to be reduced.117pauline wrote: »Like all your other posters, I am impressed at what you have achieved today.

Thank you Pauline such a good idea. We where told similar at a mh group for self harming maybe it's something I can try again.
I'm waiting for forms for DLA in the post. He still agreed it was a good option.0 -
I'm dying to round down the rent arrears and council tax a bit more but trying to be sensible because I've already spent the £110 on the court fine and there's only £17 in the bank now till Friday
Yep that confirms I should wait I'm not very good at waiting :rotfl:
Dinner nearly ready for kids and then they can have their baths and an early night0 -
You need to make sure you repay this debt at a sustainable level for you. On the plus side I am guessing the arrears and fines have no interest added so do a proper budget allowing for everything and a small amount for contingencies and emergencies. Yes, You've done what you can for this week and that's been an amazing amount, Just toddle along now for a few days now and see what debt advisers say. EE and everyone else have been amazing at giving you practical advice so listen to what they say. I don't know a lot so can only give a bit of support (I hope).
Enthusiastic saver is right. Once you feel more in control of your finances your MH will improve although still a way to go, I suspect. Any movement on that appointment?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0
