I rang them up they kept me on hold for about 10 min, but cancelled my subscribition/trial period.....did'nt ask any questions about sending anything back or any payment...I'll wait and see what happens now.0

i received my wok the other day after waiting ages for it.
for those of you who dont fancy wasting their time and money by ringing their dodgy 0870 number in order to cancel your subscription,
heres an email contact form, which i found thanks to the link Tim L posted:

I had a similar experience as Caterina.
I received the pack on Friday 26th (invoice was dated 22nd) and rang today to cancel.
Firstly the operator told me that i had to pay the £4.99 for the introductory pack and then after that my subscription would be cancelled. I replied that I didn't want the cards so could I just send them back. She told me it would cost me more to send everything back than £4.99, meaning that I had to send the wok back too.
I pointed out that their website said the wok was free whatever you decided and she replied "Oh is that what it says!" She then offered me the cards for £2.00. When i said i didn't want them she said I could just keep them and that she will cancel my subscription.
So they obviously have that option all the time, just try to get a bit of money out of people!0 -
Received my free wok today and again the invoice dated 22nd Nov.
Just rang up to cancel and was told that the wok was only free to subscribers.
I explained that the web site said "A FREE WOK" and he said i should be more careful in future.
I told him no way would they be getting any money for it, then he said " well just keep it" then slammed the phone down... LOL seems like they are having a bad day to me ;D0 -
I've sent an email as well, via the 'contact us' link on their website.
What's the worse that can happen if I just ignore the whole thing now? Seems like they don't want the recipe cards back anyhow. So if I don't return anything, don't actually speak to someone about cancelling my subscription, don't pay anything..................... ?
By the way, my pack included a 68g box of Schwartz Chicken Seasoning. Anyone else got that?0 -

well they could keep sending you recipe cards every week, until you owed them enough to justify sending round a bailiff? i guess? :-/By the way, my pack included a 68g box of Schwartz Chicken Seasoning. Anyone else got that?
yeah me too, i think they give that to everyone0 -
At least you lot got all of yours. When I opened the box, the only things in it were the wok and the actual storage box.
I've sent them off an email asking where the rest of it is but based on the experiences other people have posted, I'm not actually expecting an answer backIt's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -
Got mine this morning - so lets get this right - wok, cards, chicken seasoning, storage box all for £4.99. Then I can cancel the subscription with nothing else to pay? Have I got it right? Or does the whole lot have to go back even if I don't want to carry on with the subscription?Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

I just rang and cancelled(took 3 mins) and had no probs.
They did try on the "you have to send back the wok etc and pay for the postage" trick but thanks to the posts on this site, I stood my ground and was told to keep the lot without any hassle and they'd cancel my balance.
So thank you all those who posted their experiences and warnings........“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us...."0 -
Same as temin, but only on the phone 1m 47s!
Said I wanted to cancel, he said I owed £4.99. I said, can I just send back, he checked and said I could keep it as a complimentary gift.
It's very small - was expecting a big one :o
Can't complain when its free though! ;D0
