**closes eyes to ignore weekend list** la la la

Good evening everyone :) I did pop on before, read some then got booted off the laptop to make dinner

Pigpen well done with the reducing the loan repayment, that is some saving, awww your little DS2 must have been really tired, I've done that before myself :o

Got most of my before 2.30pm list done, apart from taking over the Dyson  and the vacuuming to go with it. To be honest the car was full (took DPs) so would have had to leave something behind.

DP now on the phone to Argos, he's been on hold for over 1/2 an hour trying to sort out the delivery they have naffed up, still on hold, silver bed frame got delivered, but the futon base is LILAC!!! We only found out after we put the bed frame together this afternoon. Weird you call the orderline and they answer within 2 minutes, then give you a number to call which doesn't seem to have anyone answering it.

Done the gloss work in the living room, Only painting left to do in new house is our bedroom, which to be honest doesn't bother me too much but DP wants it doing.

I was going to go over and do more cleaning etc tonight but I will have the boys with me and I feel exhausted so instead going to do some packing here then collapse in a heap, pleased I went to Tesco this morning as I definately couldn't be bothered now.
One day I might be more organised...........

    hello all

not flown much today except leaving things tidy before coming away.

my new shoes came this morning too - crocs mammoths, they are lovely and very toasty. OH is gonna go mad when he sees them he thinks crocs are v odd :rotfl:

got to OHs early (about 20 mins ago), he won't be home til nearly 6. missed the worse traffic though which did wonders for my stress levels. i promised him i would have a go at a job app when i got here as i've done non this week, so best get to it :A

got 100 invites all completed this morning and i printed out the inside bits so a job for sometime this weekend is to stick them in. lovely OH has offered to write, address and post them all which is fab (over 60 invites just to the main reception).

right, best get on...i can be disciplined, i can be disciplined, i can....

  • Thanks for all the good wishes.
    Keeping everything crossed!

I managed a trip to the local shops and found a perfect pair of tab top curtains for our dining room window. Don't have anything up there in the summer apart from a rattan blind. It's a big window but we only need one of them so I'm going to use the other one as a door curtain. How fab for £3.50! :j

Bought 2 more Christmas pressies as Woolies have got Chad Valley games on offer.

Managed to contact the 6 friends I needed to by phone and email so I'm all caught up with them.
Just written my weekend list, thanks for the prompts pigpen.
Ok going to have 30 minutes in the garden before the sun disappears and then it'll be time to cook tea.
Must wrap DH's birthday pressies tonight too, thankfully they all arrived before the postal strike so he'll have a nice little pile to open Monday morning.

    Enjoy your me time.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Glad you are feeling better Tia.. now.. there is a small matter of a whole weeks list to catch up on... lol.. and you are JUST in time for the weekend list!! lol.. get to work woman!!

Ha! I have managed to fly this week! Sure, it's taken me longer, but I did it!

Just my usual 'Master bedroom' woes. I even painted the kitchen!

My little brother used to fall asleep on buses all the time, he still does! (or so he says, I think he just woke up next to a heffer and made up a sob story so I'd go rescue him)

Lil_me, argos messed up my delivery, but they sorted it out right away AND sent me a £5 gift voucher. Get them told!

Bloody Argos, they said 'we had no silver ones so sent lilac instead, didn't think people would be bothered, we'll call when we get one in' Useless ******** we of course asked DS1 who said, NO PINK! It does look pink, the mattress is blue so it'd just look stupid anyway.

BT have just refunded £90.66 overpaid from this years direct debits back into bank account so that will pay towards the installation at the new house. Just had a look on Quidco, over £100 tracked due for payment in November so there is some Xmas money sorted :D There is about £30 on enquiry which says 'awaiting processing' so hopefully have that aswell.

Anyone want to do some packing for me? I'm tired, aching, can't be bothered and apart from 'his shed stuff' and 6 things DSs flung into a box, I've done all the packing & unpacking so far and it's starting to drive me crackers.

Tinsel everything crossed here for you all :)

Right got 6 or 7 emails to send, so going to do them as I can sit on my bum to do that!

Well, we didn't get to ikea as the traffic was so bad. DH is going tomorrow when I'm working instead. I've gone through the catalogue and given him a list. I guess it will save us money as I won't walk along and want to buy everything!

Going to spend half an hour in both children's bedrooms after tea so they can help. Vaccummed house and brushed dog to within an inch of it's life!

Just wondering if there are any others out there who are following Flylady more closely? Anyone bought any of the products?

When I first signed up I like many found the emails overwhelming and it difficult to take in. Then I started going to the web site (finally) I went everyday and worked out exactly what flylady would recommend I do each day. Finally I felt I knew what I was doing created a control journal etc and it has really helped me and my family so much. It's now been a year since I first registered and I still have much to do. Especially brave the attic! I'm so glad I persevered with the system though. I have even bought products all of which are great functional and help keep me focused and motivated. The calendar is fabulous and pride of place over the kitchen table where the whole family see it each mealtime. Particularly useful at breakfast.

I'm loving how you all help and support each other on this thread and amazed at how much you achieve each day. But wondering if there are any others following flylady system from the webpage instructions too?

Today as expected I have done nothing in the bedrooms. Barely keeping up with my routines. I worked the nightshift last night and what with Harvest festival at school today and some erands to run. Haven't had sleep today. Just an hour nap with classic fm on to stop me deep sleeping and missing the school run.

The kids bedding was washed and floors vacuumed during Home Blessing hour on Monday so they will cope in their messy bedrooms or can DIY them.

I'm planning to try to achieve a couple of the weekend tasks on your list Pigpen.
