Slow going here as feeling yukky still.

    Phoned mum to catch up
Stripped bed, hoovered it and wiped all the under neath bars with a damp cloth
    Put clean mattress protector on.
Hoovered all of upstairs ect DS2 and 3 rooms
    Bedding and towels on line
    Friend been for a cuppa

Painting I am putting off until tomorrow - just don't feel like doing it.
Going to wetwipe round upstairs and do a couple of windows then I think I'll sit down for an hour and sort a pil of mags out before the school run

Got back control of my computer! DD's sorted out her MP3 player and it only went horribly wrong once and we managed to get it back ;)

The washing is drying really well, glad I did all those towels on a hot wash now because the machine smells lovely and fresh (I put in some soda crystals and vinegar while they were doing to flush all the pipes through).

    Lunch cooking now (pasta bol).

    Hi Polly

How much soda crystals and vinegar did you use? Is there a guide somewhere on similar ideas for cleaning the dishwasher, washing machine, sinks etc?

    Thanks :)

lbt -I just poured about a handful of soda into the washing powder bit and a good glug of vinegar into the conditioner bit. I'll see if I can find you a thread about it.

Thanks Polly. When I had my old machine repaired, I asked the engineer about it because it really used to smell - even though I am quite good about cleaning my filter. The engineer suggested putting some Zoflora (concentrated disinfectant) in on an empty hot wash. It does work and leaves the machine smelling really nice for a few washes, but I am not sure quite how well it cleans the pipes and it works out quite expensive as I have been using it in the dishwasher too.

Perhaps I could try some soda crystals, white vinegar and some Zoflora.... hmm, maybe not, I might end up with a science experiment in my washing machine

I've just put the flannels, cleaning cloths & hooverbag in the machine on a quick wash to remove the products on them, and also I don't like washing the hooverbag on a "proper" wash as you're supposed to replace it not wash it even thought it fabric  Will put towels (with flannels & cloths) on to wash when I get out the bath. Need to wash my hair as well so I'm going up as soon as I've finished my coffee.

    Room... Re-shuffle?

You mean, mess with the arrangement where I only have to work hard Monday and Tuesday as nobody goes upstairs and I get the rest of the week off?!

    Thats a good idea! LOL!

Kids rooms should be done maybe on a Mon or Tues, big clean up after the weekend? That way can get the kids to keep them tidy during the week? well... maybe not..

My living room has to be done by Thursday though as the sofa man is coming to get rid of that nail varnish and pen.

I need to get moving and get stuff done, but got to collect DS1 in 20mins, so is there any point? Maybe I can talk him into playing in the room with Snotbags and I can do downstairs, then do their room later on. Its not bad, honest, a quick 15mins and it will be done!
