  • He's doing great. Sleeping well. He's really developing a personality and it's brilliant. He's so funny and really cuddly too. Really playing with sounds and so clever you can properly talk to him now and he gets it and answers/does what you ask.

Very close to walking but not quite yet.

    Got another on the way!

    Hows you Beckyy?

We are all good here. Have been properly walking for ages now, he's so quick too you have to really watch him at times like when popping to the car as he tries to escape out the front door!! Sleep has also improved, now has his bottle in his cot at bedtime and usually dozes off fairly quickly and apart from last night has been sleeping through- and this was all achieved without controlled crying, I think it was just a case of waiting until he was ready!! Naptime I just usually have to rock his mattress a bit if he won't settle.

He is very cheeky, very mischievous and very impressionable at the moment and copies everything, especially everything that daddy does!! He is so funny to watch. I'm so excited for Christmas this year and looking forward to having our first Chris dinner together. Has everyone done most their Christmas shopping for their little ones?

Congratulations Freddie. When is baby due?
  • I've got him saying "Ho, Ho, Ho" he's so cute.

We've got the 12 week scan in 2 weeks and 2 days. Baby due 3rd July.

We weren't expecting it to happen so quickly, we had made the decision to properly start TTC but with the assumption that it could take a while, so no point aiming for a particular time. I was hoping they'd be born in September or later - but not going to complain!

Although we both had a "WE'RE NOT READY!!" Type reaction at first :rotfl:

I'm glad you're both doing well :) That's brilliant on the nights ThinkPink!

Oh wow, congratulations Freddie. At least it will all be fresh in your mind! Honestly, I don't think anyone would ever feel 100% ready again anyway haha

I think I'm enjoying each stage better than the last. His personally is coming out more and more each day, walking well now but only gone from preferring crawling to walking in the last couple of weeks. Still only 6 teeth! I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year, as last year he was just too young to enjoy any of it.

Same here top 4 and bottom 2 front teeth. But he's got a canine starting to come through.

Also excited about Christmas although we've done no shopping yet!

He loves the Christmas tree, helped decorate it. He's been really good so far and just looks at it, points at baubles but hasn't been going to touch it pull at it.

He did to start with - you could see the turmoil inside him as he wobbled back and forth - knowing he wasn't supposed to touch it, but so captivated by something so big and shiny and colourful! It was so funny seeing him obviously having a battle of will power against himself

  • We are not brave enough to have a tree this year, our little one definitely cannot be trusted!! Oh took him round his dad's the other day and it just confirmed he would be a nightmare!!

We have 12 teeth, but haven't had any come through for 3 months so definitely due some!!

We have got all of little ones presents, we don't tend to get him much as we buy him bits through the year as and when we think of things that he will like/ needs. I'm dreading finding homes for all the presents he will get from family!!
  • I don't think we'll be putting presents underneath it until the day!

Our wee one is 18 months now

A wee chatterbox. Today's word was "tick tock". It was constant. Yesterday was "apple". She's picked up so much from nursery, it's amazing!

I am away on Saturday until Thursday. The longest time I've been without her. Not sure how I'll cope.

Our Xmas tree isn't going up until at least the 16th but there is absolutely no chance she won't touch it. She is into everything.

Hi everyone. Just had the first chance in month to catch up with this thread. Love hearing about all the babies are doing, especially love the updates from the names I recognise from pregnancy threads - my gosh that feels like a long time ago now. Congrats on the pregnancy news Freddie!

Isla is 11 months old now. She started walking about 6 weeks ago and is all over the place! We went down the BLW weaning route and she's a fab eater, we've not come across anything she won't eat and we all have the same meals every meal time which is great. I'm still breastfeeding and hoping to make it to a year.

Sleep is not something she has got the hang of just yet, in fact she seems to be getting worse. At the moment she's not falling asleep until 10pm at the earliest, and is doing one or two hours max in her cot and then refusing to go back. I generally give in because I'm so tired myself and end up taking her into our bed, where she wakes up every 5-10 mins crying or wriggling like something is waking her up. It's killing me! Hoping it's just a phase.
  • Hi folks. Thought I would pop into this thread with my three week old boy named Jacob. First child and finding it exhausting but worth it! We have a sort of nighttime routine so we get 2-3 hour chunks of sleep before needing a feed. Managing to exclusively breastfeed and he has already gained 2lb so its worth me keeping going! We have a Xmas tree up but he is far too young to appreciate this time of year. I'm enjoying reading and singing to him as he stares really intently at me and stays still! Awaiting my first smile which he does a lot in his sleep... If we could have less explosive pooing that would be appreciated :rotfl:
