Flying has been..... minimal here, to say the least - unexpected longer hours at work/ evening activities/ poor sleep all combined being my reasons/ excuses!
Shall get some things done this weekend. A week off work next week (although am still volunteering) before the madness of GCSE/ GCE season starts in earnest. That means this coming week I need to catch up AND get ahead of myself! - not just with flying, but I have lots of must-do tasks for May too (re new school in Sept, VAT return, pension stuff and more)
Next week I shall be attempting to be a whirlwind multitasker - doubt I'll manage - but I'll give it a goI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Greent I know how you feel about the catch-up AND get ahead. My 2 days in the office, 1 from home, has turned into 3 days in the office, 1+ from home. I get paid for it, but leaving at 0615 and getting back at 2030 takes its toll on the house very quickly.
Surprisingly there seems to be the same amount to do although there is no-one here to create mess. A universal conundrum.
Success today. I have finally planted the 2 bare root roses that arrived in December:D. I had put them in a pot with a bit of compost and forgotten about them. They have started sprouting. I hope I haven't put them off flowering.
2nd ParkRun today. Shaved 5secs off last week:T
It's a glorious day here. Washing flapping merrily. I'm going to take my tax returns into the garden if I can see the screen? Only 23 to do this weekend. I love sub-contractors. :rotfl: They make April and May just as busy as January. But at least I'm normally giving them good news and money back not the other way round.
Have a great Saturday everyone.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I'm glad your wish for purple sofas has come true, pigpen :j -
they sound wonderful! - but I'm really sorry that life is hard for you in other ways.
Life is a pile of rhino faeces tbh.. I'm utterly sick of it.. DS2 has still not had a penny since January LAST year.. we've had nothing since mid-March... it's just ludicrous... how we are expected to survive is beyond me.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Plaintive cry of "where has this week gone?"
This morning I did a private assessment so Mr N was banished to the garden.
This afternoon I've checked/replenished church flowers, watered greenhouse, done 15 mins on the rebounder, filled bird feeders, pulled up a few weeds and have ambitious plans to blitz the bedroom after we've eaten the moussaka I just made (leek from garden; dessert is rhubarb from garden).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Well done. I was meant to do run 3, week 2 of C25K but my back felt a bit achey after doing Body Attack yesterday so I just did 15 mins on the rebounder instead. If I survive the 9 weeks of this program I have set myself an aim to do at least 1 ParkRun before I'm 60 which gives me 11months......Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Good evening
Still not much flying here
I have done a couple of hours digging and tidying at the allotment today, and that is about it! I visited my Mum this pm, and we visited a farm shop (for compost) and a GC. There were 2 kiddies locked in a car at the farm shop - no sign of parents! The car alarm kept going off, and the little girl was crying and putting her hands over her ears  She was about 2! There was a baby asleep in the front. What planet are these people on?!! I told the staff (who didn't do anything!), and hung about. 2 ladies found the mum, and when she came back I reminded her it was illegal to leave the children in the car  She put the toddler in the buggy, and I waited until she got the baby seat out before I left. Some people!!! :mad:Narc0lepsy wrote: »I was meant to do run 3, week 2 of C25K but my back felt a bit achey after doing Body Attack yesterday so I just did 15 mins on the rebounder instead. I am going to update my to-do list, and go to bed I think. Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. Good night all!0 -
Morning all
An early start for me today. DS1 was out last night, supposed to be staying at a friends but rang me at 12.30am, very very drunk and not making much sense. Long story short I went to get him. Words will be had about the state he was in. Anything could have happened to him and he wouldnt have had a clue. Anyway by the time I got back into bed I couldnt sleep.
Paid stuff this morning, some paperwork to do for OH, then lots of tidying and cleaning to get ahead of myself before the week starts.
But a fab bike ride yesterday, 4 hrs out on the bike with a cake stop so I dont really mind having a "getting stuff done" today.
Sorry about your troubles Pigpen, really hope he can find a job or you can get some kind of financial support.0 -
Morning,
Was hoping to have shaken off this bug by nowDS football presentation was yesterday so he's very happy with a new trophy. But it was so packed out and loud, I was relieved when we could finally leave. Of course DD had been complaining too (tired after dance class and bored in a room full of boys...). So once we were home, it was kettle, paracetamol, pjs for DD and quiet time!
My ears are still ringing now! And we have a football gala this aft  much planning of camping chairs, entertainment for DD, snacks and drinks. And maybe some ear defenders!
This morning we will be flying in the garden but at the mo I've come back to bed with a :coffee: and the kids are playing hungry hippos
Have a nice Sunday, everyone xxBossymoo
