ATB and Dizzy - hope your days improve. We also had shooting very early morning here earlier in the week but not today. What with that and the birdsong, not much chance of laying in bed for long.
Anyhow, good morning flyladies.
I have washed up the breakfast dishes and done some more ironing. While getting ready to go out last night I kind of sorted my wardrobe while choosing what to wear and some of the summer stuff I sorted needed to be ironed. Also filled a whole charity bag with clothes I don't wear.
Had a great night out with DH.
Ok time to look at the list.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Been up since 4. Lots done. Even more not done. Laying on bed.

Well I survived, did you?
I'm not a whisky fan so no hot toddy for me but I am having an amaretto coffee. Medicinal.
Had a brief burst of energy in the garden, then filled some forms in, then a lie down. Have collected kiddies and now my head needs to be horizontal...Bossymoo

Piggers, I meant to post yesterday to say that if it isn't one of the kids playing with lightswitches it sounds like a lose connection. I'd get it checked out by an electrician if I were you because that can be very dangerous.
*More healing vibes* for you Bossy.
Ionafan, nicely done with the trough!
How's the bangphobic dog doing now, Dizzy? Sounds horrible, dealing with all of that.
We're lucky enough to go for day trips a couple of times a year Fayolle, and I love Brittany more as time goes on. I hope you have a fab holiday when the time comes.
Dusting done, sitting room and dining room carpets sucked, and the new clothes-horse from Brittany clipped together to replace the one someone fell over and broke a few years ago that we've been nursing along all this time. I love it.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon everyone.
I have cleaned everything in the downstairs loo and dusted the dusty bits and cleaned the windows in the bedroom. Also sorted out a drawer in there as per the list.
And my hair is tamed. I'm thinking of having it permanently straightened. Does anyone here have any experience of this?
DH is cooking dinner, so I'm going to be lazy now.
Have a great evening everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
DH was (almost) given a clean bill of health by the Respiratory consultant - no change since he had the drains in February, which is good news. He has to go back for another check-up in 3 months' time.
We celebrated at the posh GC with :coffee: and shareda slice of sugar-free fruit cake, then bought more plants! DH's collection of cacti is growing, and I have given him a rather nice rectangular pot (which I found at the back of a cupboard the other day when I was looking for something else) for his 3 new ones, which will then fit neatly onto the DR window sill where we get a lot of sun in the morning and few ordinary plants can survive the heat.
I have spent a happy afternoon in the garden. Now that I've screwed it tightly in the right direction and painted it all over with the fencing stuff, my "new" veg trough looks great! Tomorrow I will staple some weed-suppressing membrane inside it to stop all the soil falling out of the gap between the two "V" surfaces, then I can fill it with home-made compost mixed with the multipurpose stuff out of a bag, and plant my strawberries (which are currently in small pots) along the front edge.
Would it be silly to report that I nearly danced for joy this afternoon, having discovered that my lonely pot-grown gooseberry plant has lots of mini goosegogs on it? :j:j
And yesterday evening the NDN and I weeded that strip of land.
Haven't done much indoor flying, though!Spiders will be happy...

Well that didn't work; I have Mr LW's rotten cold now! Poo!
Calming vibes to bangophobic doggie. x
Sweet FA done today; that'll teach me to mow all the grass in one hit! :cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I acquired purple sofas today.. I'm so happy I might wee.. I wanted purple sofas forever.. they arent velvet (OH said no to velvet as they are pimp sofas.. clearly he knows a lot of pimps) .. anyway.. purple sofas.. for free!!! I now need to donate a leather 3 seater to the local homeless shelter and 2 armhairs to my sister.. and 4 binbags of uniform going to a school parent tomorrow... and I got a refund cheque from my argos storecard so £68 I cant put in the bank as it has the wrong name ..
OH is still without work.. no wonder so many just give up trying.. whats the point when noone even replies? .. the next step is the house being repossessed.. I don't think I can deal with that.. OH may have to simply move out because I can't live like this.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

they sound wonderful! - but I'm really sorry that life is hard for you in other ways.
GWS vibes to LW, Bossy and anyone else who is under the weather atm.
I hope you get a decent night's sleep tonight, Dizzy.0 -
Good morning flyladies. I hope that the poorlies are feeling better today.
No flying done here yet today as I've only just had breakfast. Got woken up at 4am by the birds nesting in our roof space, woken at 6am by the dogs wanting to go out, so then I went back to bed.
Got up to find Littley has been a little sick, so our plans to take them for a grand day out in the car have been shelved. DH and I will go to a local village fair and I'll just take the dogs for normal walks.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
