Had a change of plan today and didn't go out after all but have spent most of the day sitting in the garden reading!

As we weren't out and about I didn't have to worry about lunch as just had what was planned originally - pizza toast! Tomato, pepper, onion, mushrooms, 15g cheese (between 2 slices!) so HEB + 3.

Because we were in the garden ended up having a couple of drinks so have ended the day on 10 syns - which is OK as I'll still have about 8 or 9 day day between now and Thursday.

Won't be going to WI this week as have a hospital appointment Thursday morning but I'm still trying to stick to plan even though it would be easy not to.

After DH's visit to the consultant on Friday we now know that he will be able to drive in 5 weeks time so I'd like to get into the bottom half of target range before then! Will be good to get away in the motorhome again - can't wait:D.

I'd be interested to hear if any of you have done Weight Watchers online? I know this is a SW thread so I apologise if this causes offense. (I'm a big fan of SW i should add) but I fancy a change and was considering WW but wouldn't be able to get to a group. I can see that I could do WW online but it appears all you get is access to the app? I can't see that you get sent any books or other bits?

    Hi FE

Yes, I'm actually doing WW online and have been for a few weeks. I decided to give it a try to introduce an element of portion control but I'm not seeing great results yet, I've only lost 1lb. :o

It involves a lot more counting and weighing as free food is limited to fruit and some veg (if it's speed food on SW it's 0 points on WW). Daily points are based on your starting weight and go down as you lose weight. You can earn points by exercising but you can only swap them for food when you've exceeded 19 in a week. I haven't got there yet but I'm not very active as I have arthritic knees.

You don't get anything in the way of books but the food tracker is quite good, you can find most things and there's a nifty barcode reader that you can use to check things with a smart phone. There is an option to do online and classes for additional cost, or if you wanted whatever books you get from WW maybe you could go along to one class and then sign up online?

You'd also have access to the website so you could try it out before committing yourself. I joined because they were doing a weight loss guarantee - lose 10lbs in 8 weeks and get your money back. The current offer is 6 months subscription for £10.95 a month.

Reading back I've done a good job of promoting WW but in all honesty I still think SW is better as it encourages you to eat more fruit and veg. You could do WW without eating any, but you'd be hungrier. SW is less work too, if you cook a meal of free food you can eat as much as you want but on WW you have to restrict quantities according to how many points you've got available.

Thank you very much. This is really helpful. I really appreciate your comments. I am undecided what to do. I know the sw plan inside out and i'm sure if I meal planned properly and started losing weight again, I'd get my mojo back and love sw again!
