wizkid1,I have never made them, but think you take the sausage meat out of a low-syn susage, and surround the egg,and use that. Will see if I can find you a recipe in a minute.

Today' menu: (it is definitely time to go shopping again)
Breakfast: bacon and eggs (have run out of tomatoes and baked beans),followed by an apricot and a doughnut peach

Lunch: packet of Batchelors pancetta pasta, using milk from allowance and no marg: 2 syns, followed by the beetroot and mange tout

Abbafan it is your fault my mind started wandering to junk food for tea :D.All this talk of KFC .....well done on the run, though.
So,after reading Abbafan's post about KFC,I started wondering what I could have for tea that was a bit naughty.Fortunately,I didn't have the car today,so couldn't nip out and buy anything to completely sabotage my weight-loss (though there are 2 pizzas in the fringe :D).Searched in cupboards, fridge and freezers. It seems OH bought hash browns while he was in Iceland yesterday.I looked up the syns, very pleased to find they were only 2 syns each.
So my really-need-to-buy-speed-food/junky tea was 2 sweet potatoes cut into wedges, and 3 hash browns (6 syns).

I have also had a litre of water to drink.

Tonight I have had 2 hifi bars (HEB),and another hifi (3 syns)

Scotch eggs (1.5 syns per egg)
    4 hard-boiled eggs,peeled
    2 pkt SW pork sausages
    1-2 teaspoon curry powder
    2 tab dried parsley
    1 teaspoon mixed herbs
    2 beaten eggs
    50g wholemeal breadcrumbs

Put bread in processer, blitz until fine.Set aside.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C/gas mark 6
Skin the sausages, mix in curry podwer, mixed herbs and parsley in a food processor.Blend until fairly smooth.Divide mix into 4 portions.Take each portion and wrap around a hard-boiled egg until completely covered.Do the same for remaining eggs.
DIp each egg into beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Cook 20 minutes or until lightly golden.

While I was looking for this recipe,i see there are differnt versions-this one is from SW site,so promotes their own sausages, other recipes use differnt sausages (eg Linda Mc Cartney for vegetarians),some people coat them in Smash instead of using bread, making them syn-free
You could also experiment with different herbs and spices,I guess. One recipe I found used pork mince, instead of sausage meat.

How strange that she gives you SW friendly food to take home but feeds you syns for lunch! :)

She's always got loads fruit in basket on table and normally gives me some on a Sunday only because they soon go off in her flat with the heat. She bought some oranges the other week or thought they where. When she peeled one it was a grapefruit  :rotfl::rotfl:

She cant eat grapefruit due to a tablet she takes. So I ended up with think it was 3 . Tried one and it was sour so they went into the bin I wasn't eating with loads sugar on them.

I am having the worst week ever SW wise. I just can't seem to help but eat rubbish. My mind just really isn't in the right place. Got weigh in tomorrow night, and really dreading it, but know I need to go.

On a course today and tomorrow, so know the food I eat won't be great, but I won't be able to eat other than at break times, so that means no snacking.

Also got myself a new fitbit last week, so trying to up the exercise. Set myself a target of 6000 steps a day. I know it isn't high, but on a work day I can sometimes struggle to get to 3000 steps, so it is a good target for me for now. Because I'm on public transport today, and wanted to get parked at the train station, I came in early, and have been for a walk around the city centre the morning. Up to 3400 steps already, so should definitely get to target today.

That's a really good start with the steps kathrynha. I'm impressed with the early morning walk. Shame about eating junk but it can't be undone. Do your best on the course and plan for after WI so next week can be a good week.:)

Thanks for the Scotch egg info. but I'm such a lazy cook I don't think I could be bothered with all that for just 4 snacks. I think I'll just eat the sausages and eggs separately. Perhaps SW should market ready made Scotch eggs.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: cold chicken, LO veg, pickles
D: salmon, new potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, babycorn and mange tout
    Syns: squirt of syrup (2?)

I need to portion up the lentil soup for the freezer and may have a bowl today because summer seems to have disappeared.:(

I'm another one having a bad week so far. I just cannot seem to reign it in! Thursday night was wine and crisps, Friday was cake at work, Sat was a BBQ at a friends (lots of wine, but good food choices), Sun was hangover munchies and a Macmillan tea party (think LOTS of cake).

I feel like I've sabotaged myself this week so I will have 4 syn free days before WI.

    B: Cup of Tea
L: SW Cauli & Horseradish soup, Melon, FF Yog, Berries
D: Not sure but it will be syn free :o
    HEA Milk in Tea
HEB Maybe a Hifi and some dried Apricots

Maman - SW scotch eggs would be brilliant but it won't ever happen because hard boiled eggs can't be frozen! If they could be frozen I'd be happy to freeze my own and just pull them out when I wanted them.

I don't eat them as snacks but have as the protein portion on a salad. As I usually use the Linda Mc red onion & rosemary sausages I only make 3 at a time and DH has 2 and I have one, although sometimes we'll have 1 & half each.

Yesterday I ended up with only having half HEB and that was sitting with a 20g bowl of honey monster puffs and eating them like popcorn! Was quite nice really and no wasted syns! Didn't have any syns yesterday so managed to pull back 15, happy days!

    Today's plan:

B - bacon omelette (was supposed to be with mushrooms but have run out!)
L - ham salad - leaves from garden, spring onion, cucumber, cherry toms, red onion, orange pepper, piquant peppadew peppers, pickled onions, beetroot
D - LO roast chicken; chips; beans; followed by fruit & quark

    HEA - milk
    HEB - undecided
Syns - none planned but may have Ryvita later with scrape of butter
