Aw - congrats apple
I have a bit of insomnia again as you may be able to see. It's quarter to five and I've been awake for ages. However, I'm grateful for a bit of normality in life again even if just for a few days. Yesterday was a nice day with lots of relaxing stuff, although I am well aware that I'm stressed at the moment.
I'm grateful for my fantastic bestie, who always knows exactly what I need whether that's coffee or a stern talking to
I am grateful for being a strong woman that can cope with the vast majority of stuff that gets chucked my way.
I am also grateful for the cats at this time of day and the cuddles I getNot giving up

Friday was SFD number 7. Yesterday was a very carefully planned and calculated food shop to make sure I stayed within budget. I won't be doing any shopping again until payday. I also did more moderating in between seeing family and a friend, going out for lunch and a long dog walk, or two.
Hope the rain stays away today so we can get some more walking done.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Congratulations Apple!
Have been derailed this month by news that the aunt I am closest to is likely to need chemo again. Waiting for a scan and meeting the consultant over next week or so. Times like this I wish I didn't live so far from my family. If I move plans around I can be there for the consultants visit (she is single with no children of her own but helped to raised me and my brothers) as am combining work trip with visit home that week anyway. Ahhh don't know what to do as I know she will ring me to translate the medical jargon after anyway but if she says not to come as means changing plans don't want to force her to bring me as well as her sister.
Sorry for unloading on this forum but it's just at the front of my mind at mo. Will keep checking in as much as I can this month but can see money saving as falling by the wayside for the next while. Fingers crossed my MSE habits will carry make a lot of the decisions automatic and limit the financial damage.
Grateful for my own health, for friends who will let me cancel long standing plans at last minute with no hassle and for a neighbours little boy who just made me laugh this morning when I really needed it.0 -
Sorry I've been quiet. It's all gone to pot that s week.
Thursday and Friday were spendy days and Thursday and a Friday were spendy days and the no takeaway rule has gone to pot! I'm irritated with myself but I have no effort/energy to make dinner when I get home later than usual. Most meals I cook from scratch take me about 45/60 minutes and sometimes I'm not home until 6:30. I think I just need to make dinner before sitting down when I get in.
I also need to stop making excuses and just get on with it.
Today has been a NSD and I'm at a pathetic 3/16. I can make it if I have no more NSD in the week and save weekends for spending.
I'm grateful for the sunshine today.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

I've had a spendy day but I am happy (hugs to anyone who is struggling). There were a couple of toiletry items That I have needed for a while and it was getting more urgent. Made a list including stuff for sandwiches and had to decide which way I was going (needed to compromise on some items either way).
Quick trip to little arseda and pleasantly surprised to find better than expected prices for some of the items. Looked at socks - I have been low on socks for a while and had a quick look on Thursday in the shop I went to for mum's nightdresses. Found some at 5 pairs for a fiver not as high cotton content as I would like.
Couldn't decide between 2 packs (one bright colours with dachshunds on and one more sober colours - maroon and navy with flowers etc) so decided to be really extravagant and get both (after totting up my trolley to make sure I had enough to cover it). Bill was less than expected - socks reduced to £2 a pack, so 10 pairs for £4. Happy dance, happy dance.
Today I am grateful for socks, my new socks and my old socks - socks get me through so many bad days, make me smile just to look at them and cheer me up when they are hanging on the line (I know I am really depressed or in a rut when I start to make patterns with the pegs). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
We had a lovely long walk thru the woods and along the local cycle trail today. Managed about 15,000 steps and caught a new pokemon.
Little bit of a spendy day when we got home, bf needs a new strap for his fitbit, so I had to buy a couple more things on Amaz0n to get the free delivery. Ended up buying a bike pannier bag I've been eyeing up for a while. £40.95 later....
NSDs - 08/20. Sporty spends today.
Go outside - A nice long 6 mile walk, pup is now tuckered out for the day.
