Thank you for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day. Got a fitbit which I'm loving :)

Just finished an incredibly draining shift, will be glad to get home.

Today I'm grateful for a lie in this morning, my lunch of gf spring rolls (very yummy!), work being over and leftover cake.

Dizzyblnd yes definitely! I love teachIng and the students but some of the other adults are a nightmare to work with and most of the management struggle to do joined up thinking.

I haven't been on in a while and I've been feeling a bit exhausted. Just woke up an hour before my alarm which doesn't help. I think I'm on SFD number 6 today. Moderating has just started so will be working on that for most of the weekend and earning some extra pennies :)

Hope you all have a nice day, the forecast here isn't great :(

    Checking in.

Plonking myself on naughty step yesterday was a spendy day as planned haircut/color and then decided whilst out getting bit of food shopping to buy myself some sensible walking sandals - as in proper walking ones.
OOps - probably why it has started to rain now.

Today wasn't spending but popped into Boots whilst raining and bought L'oreal honey cleanser, toner and moisturizer all reduced and some factor Amber solaire 50 suntan lotion for grandkids - Total cost 4.50 - well pleased with my bargains.

Nothing else to report, It's Friday and going to try my hardest not to spend this weekend. ;-)

Better day yesterday so back to normal but didn't manage to post.
Washing line broke. Probably because of the enormous amount of washing done due to the good weather. My neighbour has ordered another very strong one and her OH will put it up when it arrives. About an hour ago I heard someone calling me from outside. It was the neighbour's 2 year old giggling like mad. She had manage to tie herself to the clothes pole with the washing line and couldn't figure out how to get out of her predicament. We didn't for one moment think she'd be able to do such a thing. The offending object has now been removed for safety reasons.
The building works have come to a bit of a standstill. Apparently the local authority haven't been able to contact all the owners in our block to get permission to go ahead so they've had to move on to the next block. Suppose the upside is that if there are any problems they should be ironed out before they get to us.
Since I wasn't well we haven't been for our meal out this week so just going locally tomorrow. Probably just a light lunch or a drink.
    Have a good weekend, Turtles
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

NSD day today. Nice and chilled in work, just tiding up some end of week bits.
Had some very tasty mushroom soup for lunch & had a good session in the gym.
I was listening to a podcast while I worked out, so I'm afraid I looked like a grinning loon smiling and giggling to myself.

    NSDs - 07/20.
Go outside - Had a rainy walk with the pup.
Daily gratitudes - My hour extra on Monday enabled me to leave an hour early today, so I fitted in a quick gym session before heading home.

Does my DH count? He is a Uni Lecturer currently marking first year essays. He is losing the will to live and may soon cry.

I keep on spending. Not very much, just silly little amounts, not even £2 a day so it hardly even mounts up, but although I am good at going in and ONLY buying the the one thing I need, I need to stop having to buy the one stupid thing. But that's kids for you. They will keep eating things I had earmarked for their lunch boxes.

Grateful for a nice cup of tea after getting drowned picking up kids from school, the car to run to to get out of the rain. Home made Lasagne for tea that filled everyone up, and for running a Linux machine so this ransom malware Windows attack does not affect us.
    It is terrifying.

I haven't done a lot but feeling very good and much more positive and happier about everything. A decent sleep helps.

It also helps that one of mum's partner's grandchildren has put up some curtains that she had so the pressure on me to finish the set i am altering is relaxed. I have spent so much time and energy on them and they don't look that great - not my work, just the curtains being horrible and a dirty beige colour with added spots where mum's partner has tried to 'feed' the people in the corner that he talks to.

I don't mind putting the effort in if the result is good but this is just a salvage job and I feel guilty whenever I see them - I didn't relise until now how much this has been getting me down.

I have been doing some productive thinking and have identified 5 areas where I can reduce the stuff in the house and garden including annual council collection (get rid of the fireplace that is in the yard and possibly the pet cage that the grandchinchillas nibbled and escape jole in to using the 'spare' brown bin in the backs as a garden 'shed' and hiding as many of the seed trays/ plant pots and miscellaneous clutter in there - can postpone 'doing' anything with it as long as it is out of sight and not underfoot.

Made a start today as I checked that the library charity donations bin had lots of room in it, so packed a number of items in 2 medium sized oval baskets and off they went. I have two large oval baskets and 3 oblong boxes (big enough for A4 files one way and foolscap the other) which i will keep. They can be used as footstools/ side tables/ coffe tables or for seating for children and reasonable sized adults and the lids make great trays when having a buffet - in addition to their original purpose as storage. They also look good in an unobtrusive way. The medium boxes weren't as usful and I have been downsizing everything and decanting remainders into smaller boxes.

Today I am grateful for not having to be anywhere, for the library which performs so many functions and for 'thinking outside the box' - horrible phrase but shorter than 'tumbling random ideas around in my head, turning them inside out and upside down, then looking at things sideways'.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Today I am grateful for a coffee with dh, for my cake, for being giving lots of flowers, for finishing off a pesky problem moderation centre, for being able to collect dd from school, for doing a canny shop at icyland so I now qualify for £5 in the next few weeks, for my workout, for giggles with dd, for a lovely email from a friend.
