Popped to tesco on the way home from work and spent more than I had hoped. I'm almost never in a big tesco and the free from range is really good, I got a little bit carried away
Today I'm grateful for a beautiful day, earning some extra cash, bacon rolls for tea, a good discussion with OH regarding finances, finding lactose free blue cheese (words cannot express how excited I am about this) and a photo from my sister that made me laugh.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, hugs to anyone who needs one.

Chasing sunshine - Iwould suggest that you do go with your aunt. You have already changed your plans, and I bet she will appreciate you being there. When we went/go for mum's important appointments, big sis and I both go: one to do the talking and the other to listen, ask for clarification, keep an eye on mum. We both remember different things.
Thank you for all the congratulations! Greent - all I know is that we have a grandson, his name, that he was born by emergency c-section and that he was sleeping when step dd called us. They live in the western side of Canada, and step son-in-law is a luddite with tech, so we'll have to wait for step dd to mend a little to see him online somewhere.
Today I am grateful for bus apps that let you know whether you need to run or can saunter along nonchalantly, for my dh, for clearing up the spare room a little (nowt like an imminent visitor, eh?), for being able to do some marking, for not being out in the rain, for birdsong, for getting a little knitting done, for my workout, for the inspiration I get from watching triathlon (Brownlee went head first over some barriers in the rain, got up, and then ran the rest of the bike leg with his bent bike on his shoulder, all because he was determined to do the running leg and finish! Awesome attitude!), for finding out that a friend's son is getting married.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thanks to gardening all day, I've managed to avoid spending any money. There was a plant sale today at the local church hall and I was extremely tempted (as the garden is in dire need of new plants) but I managed to stay away.
Took my daughter for a walk when I took the dog out and also did hours of gardening so also met my exercise in for the day.
As we've been outside all day everything was switched off too, so some energy saved there too hopefully.
Today I'm glad to have made decisions that have been distracting me for some time, that the weather was good and the front garden looks better and that it's another week nearer half term.....0 -
Morning all!
Apologies for being A.W.O.L again... Car stuff blew my finances out the water - all log on tonight, have a proper catch up and update my signatures! All ok and sorted now, and I'm happy - but stressful at the time!
Hope you're all ok!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Just catching up with all your news.
Congrats Apple Muncher bet you can't wait to see a pic of the little man.
ChasingSunshine I go along with applemuncher's advice. Amazing what an extra pair of ears there does. When my sister was ill, so glad my nephews girlfriend came along so much to take in. Hope appt goes well.
Lauralozzle don't be so hard on yourself. We all have days when just too tired or late home to be bothered cooking. Once in a while is alright.
Yesterday - day out and lunch out was my turn to pay. However brilliant meal and I got given a tenner towards cost of it. Didn't walk much yesterday back is not good at the moment. Somehow managed 10k on flat ground though, dodged showers and the sun came out.
Today I need fruit and milk so will pop to lidlee on the way home from work. Bought gig tickets for October, works out nice my bday week and my friend will put me up.
After today no spending all week. Need to use up food if I can, lots of veg needs chopping and left hand painful still. Butternut squash will just be halved and thrown in oven.

I have no idea what NSDs I've had but think there's been 2, I won't log them as not sure.
Our stones are now down for off street parking and it looks fab - just managed to do them before the weather turned
Met with friends yesterday for a walk and pub lunch. Went past a charity shop and got a wendy house for little man for £20 - there's a little sink, cooker & table in it too. Checked online and it's being sold for £299 online  cheapest we can see it anywhere is £240 on offer. Bargain! He didn't want tocome out of it yesterday. Hubby cleaned it up & it's like new - slightly sun bleached on the roof
Bit miffed with the pub lunch though. Went to a local which is usually really good and they've put the prices up on everything, it was still really good but usually it's amazing. Cost more than we were hoping to spend.
Got some ys bargains at Asda - 5 trays of 6 bedding plants for 20p each. Each tray had one or two dead plants in but the rest were fine. Usually be between £1.50/£2 a tray. Got some troughs from Aldi for £3.99 each. Going to do some repotting tomorrow with little man.
Today I'm grateful for
1) little man not minding the rain - had a lovely little walk with the pooch
2) him still being asleep so I can have a catch up
3) rain saving me watering the plants1 debt vs 100 days -

Tomorrow will need petrol though so not celebrating too much..
No exercise today though. Had about three hours sleep so am hoping for an early night.
Grateful for the kids channels at the moment as I have been sitting on the sofa with my daughter 'resting my eyes' whilst she watches a film0 -
finally better!
Huzzah!
Just catching up... Can't believe we're famous! SATs are over, reports are written, assessments are now under way.
Money is good. Had a cheap weekend - 2 Park visits, 2 exercise classes (free with gym membership). Went swimming this evening which would have been free if I hadn't said yes to the vending machine for the little one. I have an 'alternate' rule and he didn't have anything last time.
Two weeks til half term and 2 and a bit til pay day! This month has been trickier than anticipated because I'm paying Oh back for my gym membership.
Hope everyone is well. I'm gonna try to bag 4 NSDs starting tomorrow...0
