Thank you for your kind words CBC - made me go quite pink
I honestly don't think I do more/as much as others on here. You are always so supportive, as are most, and that's what makes this such a great thread to be part of all the time. So I'd like to say a big thank you to all of you - definitely stronger together

It probably depends who you've booked with (and if you've paid a deposit etc) but if you have paid a deposit, rather than losing it you could try asking if you can just change the dates. I have done this before, we were supposed to be going on holiday in June and couldn't afford it and I was able to change it to October.
My partner's mum paid for the actually holiday and would only get half back if we cancelled it. I brought it up in conversation and she didn't seem impressed at the thought of us cancelling it, we cancelled last years.
We are going to go and have come to terms with the fact our debt is going to go up a little in the next few months before free nursery kicks in. We just need to focus on minimalising how much it goes up by. We've paid off nearly £6000 in 15 months so we are trying to focus on that and not the negative of the moment.
On the plus side I have £10 to add from that app that tracks your phone, can't remember what it's called because I thought it wasn't working and deleted it. And £85 worth of overtime.
So my total so far is £231.69Total Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)
Earn £10 a day 2015 - £878.91 2016 - £3932.18
2017 - £1686.24 - 2018 - £272.37
March 2019 - £120.99
April 2019 - £0/£3000 -

Shelly, please stop feeling anxious and guilty about what is obviously a very much-needed break away for you and your family.
From what you say I think you've done wonders already paying off £6000 of your debts. You should feel proud of yourself for that:T. Speaking as one who has had/is still having a long battle with debt:o I know how hard it can be. It's a marathon not a sprint but my brain sometimes forgets this:o. There have been times when I've felt so demoralised and exhausted by the length of time it is taking despite me making every economy possible to bring the end date nearer. I just have to give myself a good talking to and remind myself how far I've already come and give myself a virtual pat on the back;).
So go on holiday and have a lovely, relaxing, quality time with your family:beer:. You deserve it and will come back refreshed and ready to really kick those debts:j. Yes, they'll go up a bit in the meantime but you're more than a match for them:A0 -
