VintageHistorian wrote: »One thing I've seen suggested for physical eBay sales (won't work for codes unfortunately), is to set up an email address that's not connected to your eBay account, and then when you send off an item include a note in it that says "If this item hasn't reached you please email [spare account]" to let me know. It helps weed out some of the scammers because they then email that account, which isn't connected to ANYTHING else (eBay, Paypal, Amazon) claiming "My item has got lost", and you can then reply with "If the item got lost then how did you get this email address? I only ever put it inside eBay parcels".
The chap that told me about this runs a business on eBay and reckons that about 95% of chancers give up quite quickly. For those who sell a lot on eBay it might be worth a try, just to try and weed out the worst offenders.
What a brilliant idea:T. Thanks for sharing:beer:
I don't 'do' eBay much these days, for selling anyway, but I could use the same idea for sales made on Amazon:j. I expect Amazon would frown on it but what the heck? I rarely get many claims for refunds because of non-arrival, in fact Royal Mail have been brilliant, but I once had a big box set of Miss Marple DVDs supposedly go missing and had to refund the buyer:mad:. I was pretty dubious about the truth of her claim as I recognised her unusual name and address from eBay years ago when she'd claimed for non-arrival of something else and I'd had to refund quite a large amount of money:mad:. Didn't want to lose my 100% Amazon feedback as I was relatively new to selling on there then so let the refund go through without question:o.0 -
Hi everyone
Hope you have all had a lovely long weekend despite the atrocious weather today.
Sounds like you two haven't Aesop and CBC - here's hoping things improve for you both. Sending hugs xx

Evening lovely peoples :hello:
Really hoping that those under pressure the last week have found a ray of sunshine today to help them cope - sending hugs all round
Well done all the money-makers - nearly at the end of May already
I have usual weekly scans and a couple of surveys to add - so just £4.75. PA has been really slow for me this month - loads that I'm 'eligible' for but then don't meet the criteria in the initial blurb.
Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday

DS and I went swimming today as weather not great. we had a great time, it's not often we get to.go swimming together. even better as bank holiday didn't have to pay for parking. although it's only 20p for 2 hours. best car park ever.
I did lose my shopping trolley token though. put it in the locker before I realised we don't get our money back. never mind. I have a spare.
funny thing is I am sure the swimming baths discounted our tickets. I said we didn't have membership, as we don't. my ticket showed 2 different member names :j
I managed to get some freebies over the weekend. free kfc for DS as we had £5 off colonel club, free snack from subway as had 200 points on card, free quarter chicken from nandos.
I also claimed another £1.72 amazon on jobspotter app. £1 from embee £5 from shopprize £1 from panel app0 -

Sounds as if you and DS had a great time:T. I'm really glad as you deserved a treat after all you've been through recently. Some good freebies there too, well done:beer:
Not sure I'll be adding anything else to my total this month. Have redeemed £30 from GlobalTestMarket but expect it will take a while:(. Had hoped to do a car boot sale yesterday, part of Family Fun Day so it might have been very busy, but it poured with rain all day so I chickened out:o
Had to reschedule that free hairdo that I won weeks ago so am going on Thursday now. Will claim the saving when I know what it is;).
Massive congratulations to all you money makers whether you've made/smashed your targets or not:T0 -
Waiting for the June challenge to start now, my paypal money gets released tomorrow for the £60 sale so I'm going to just deposit what's left in savings and start from stratch.
The leaflet job I've been told is due to get paid end of this week, so whilst only £40 for my first 1,000 it will be something to add to my June totals
Finished my degree for the year so going to have plenty of time on my hands now!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
The ebay issue I was having resolved itself in an odd way. Ebay have refunded the buyer but I don't have to re-imburse them and it doesn't count against me. I have never seen that before. I am not complaining although I am a bit miffed he got his money back. Hopefully, he can't leave me bad feedback now.
I can't remember if I already asked but is anyone else having problems with their onepulse app? I can't log in, well it tells me I am logged in but when I press the account button it tells me to log in again, I did a load of pulses before realising my money kept going back downI have emailed them today about it.

block the buyer now so can't bid again and can't leave feedback
I have heard of ebay doing this before. I can't remember why . they have a pot that they pay some claims out of. maybe the buyer is dodgy and has had complaints made against them.
yes other people have said issues with one pulse. you need to make sure you have done all.updates and email if any issues.0 -
I stuck a few items on eBay this morning before we went out for day.
had a few sales tonight. one of the items I've had a while so pleased to be selling rather than donating to charity.0
