Ok, so where has this weekend gone again? I can't believe that it's Sunday afternoon already.

Not sure what happened yesterday. We finally sorted out a car to replace my unreliable one, which took a couple of hours in the morning. Popped up to the allotment for a few minutes to delegate cutting the grass and edges to OH.:D It is so dry that anything growing needed watering, but none of the seeds are coming up. You are not alone Good Intentions! Then I took DD riding, but waited for her as it is a 30 mile round trip which I didn't feel like repeating. I think I just might have dozed off in the car park at some point....:o

This morning we haven't yet had the promised rain, so WM x1 run and currently blowing around on the line. HHI done. DD fed. OH despatched to FiL, so will come back grumpy at some point. I'm going to try to do a few bits in the garden this afternoon, as DD is apparently doing homework...

Garden pruned/dead-headed to my exacting standards .. I don't like the way that branch is looking at me *snip* and I upped the dead lavendar OH was gazing at willing it to zombie itself back to life.. then I demanded he deal with the dandies and other weeds.. I'm such a slave driver.

He is now clearing a full room of boxes so I can rejiggle them and fit them all back in with space to use the room because I am aazing and can do these things!

I need to purchase another bookcase.. we have sooooooooooo many already it's like a freaking library in here.

Onto to wash loads 5 and 6.. dryer running, DW on load 3.. and I folded 3 baskets worth.. I WILL have some house back in some semblance of order .. this small pest of mine has destroyed any effort previous put in..

Closing date for applications today.. everything crossed OH gets the job he was the only person to apply for up to 3 days ago! And maybe 1 of the others too!

    Good luck to Pigpen's OH.
It's easy enough to drive through a red light, Bossy. I found myself doing it on a five way junction a few years ago  and realised I knew the road so well I'd started driving on autopilot. Scared the living daylights out of me and I've been much more attentive ever since. Thank goodness we were both lucky and no one got hurt.

I have written my listy. It has 57 tasks on it all of which have to be done by 8.00pm tomorrow night, only two of which are finished. *sigh*
    Better is good enough.

Even I don't write lists that long, Honey Bear! Mrs Chaos, yours is almost as bad! I'm cheering you both on... And mrs-mp - your workload sounds exhausting atm, but I know you love what you do.

    Today I have
    - spent 2.5 hours at my placement; now I've got to write some notes about it
    - made leek'n'potato soup for lunch
    - sent some emails
    - drafted a thank-you letter which has to be personalised for about 50 people
    - [STRIKE]mowed[/STRIKE] scalped the lawn
    - dug out as many daisies, bluebells, dandelions and buttercups as I could find in what was left of the lawn (mostly moss )
    - watered all the pots and hanging baskets
    - gone round the garden looking for goose grass and ash seedlings, and pulled them out
    - put the mower away again
    - put the kettle on to make a cuppa.

    DH
    - did not go out this morning :(
    - went back to bed for an hour while I was mowing the lawn :(
    - finished making the cuppa :)

    I must now
    - drink my tea
    - make my notes
    - do some essential reading
    - cook roast dinner
    - wait for the Treasurer to send me some bank statements so that I can finish the Gift Aid claim

Good luck to your OH, pigpen.
Hope you've had a fab day, atb.
    Pigeon-be-gone vibes for Narc0.

See you all on the new thread x

I put in an hour or so at the allotment - planted some potatoes, watered the seeds in the veg trug (I spied one tiny beetroot seedling!) and did some digging. I had to come back to have lunch and get ready for riding. The horse I was on managed to stumble three times today! once while trotting :eek: It always frightens the life out of me :o

I am now going to do a meal plan, then maybe some paperwork. I have soooo much to do!

No flying done here as I've been out but DH has finished repainting the hall.

See you all on the next thread.

    I have done two washloads
    Wiped up two puddles-in-corners
Been to buy sugar for the rhubarb and ginger I wanted to turn into jam...and bought a new top and a pair of wedge sandals...oops

Yes please, Lamewolf. We're putting drops in his eye three times a day because the next stage could be that the eye affected gets so sore he'd be miserable. He's decided that it's worth having the drops because he gets chicken and/or steak after the triple lock cuddle.
Awww, poor Devil Cat. I had to put ointment for conjunctivitis in Bluebell's eyes twice a day while she was here - she wasn't keen, but we managed it every time; the sequence was: muzzle on (easier to keep her head still because the muzzle gave me something to grip), head back, ointment onto tightly-shut eye, wait for her to get bored and open the eye so the ointment went in, repeat with other eye, muzzle off, administer gravy bone.:D

OK, so how d'you make top-and-sandals jam, then? :rotfl:
    I'll get my coat........

I've done precisely zip today, apart from chucking loaf ingredients into the BM and making batter for tonight's dins (veggie toad-in-the-hole). Shoulder is still painful enough to make me feel nauseous, so I'm resting it as much as I can; I have to get back to a semblance of normality tomorrow though, the place is rapidly turning into a pig-sty. I suppose I should just be grateful that it's my right shoulder; otherwise I'd really be in the soup!

Fingers crossed for your OH Pigpen, hope he has success this time.

DH has had 3 days off work so far with back pain, so been flying around him and trying to convince him to do light jobs to keep him moving. Yesterday was flying free as I took DD to see Th@mas and friends at the railway with another little one. Safe to say that absolutely loved it!

So far today has consisted of making a list of freezer contents, meal plan and then shopping list, doing the shopping, finishing weeding the long path up the garden and giving the grass a long overdue first cut.

See you all on the new thread.
