Sorry I haven't been around since Tuesday; we went out for the day on Wednesday, and I have been totally knocked-out-exhausted since (was a 140-mile round trip, and I still get extremely tense being in the car). Then last night, I moved my right arm in what you'd think was a perfectly normal way and something went SSSCCCERRRRRUUUNNCHHH in my shoulder, loud enough that Mr LW heard it, and I nearly passed out from the pain.
It's been agony all day today, though thankfully a good slathering of Tiger Balm has helped a bit; so I'm going to have to be very careful for the next couple of days. Gods know what's happened this time!!
HB I assume I need to send comfy-cat vibes for Devil Cat?Whiz had a tick on him the other day and it was horrid.
Oh yes, our outing Wednesday was to the UK Wolf Conservation Trust; they have 10 resident wolves, and I took silly amounts of photos!Link to their site, if anyone's interested:

Thank you Valli, I was really worried I'd been trying to teach granny to suck eggs but I know from experience that this technique isn't widely discussed. The more hissing and spitting you get the first time around the more it was needed. If it doesn't get better after two or three days you may have to find other strategies and we can discuss those if nescessary then.
Yes please, Lamewolf. We're putting drops in his eye three times a day because the next stage could be that the eye affected gets so sore he'd be miserable. He's decided that it's worth having the drops because he gets chicken and/or steak after the triple lock cuddle.
House tidied, files prepared for paperwork blitz Sunday and Monday interspersed with shower and bathroom drubbing. Listy being compiled so I don't forget anything.Better is good enough.0 -
Waaaah! Totally fell off the wagon after immersing myself in charity paperwork for 2 days and then paid stuff and tiredness took over. Still - paperwork has been done (there is more, but it's an entirely separate task) so something good was achieved
And there is always next week....!

Well done Dancemum
Ouch Lonewolf I hope it settles down.
Alternative flying today:
- coffee with work friends from last college (all left since I did, for a variety of reasons but we still meet up).
- load washing done, hung outside, brought in.
- Garden inspected and pigeons cursed as they have eaten the new shoots of all my peas. No snail trails so it must have been pigeons. Rest of greenhouse checked and watered.
- hedge snipped (literally; it is next door's leylandii poking through in places and our hedge trimmer is broken so it was secateurs)
- old dead shrub dug out and plans made for that small bed.
- went to sports shop and thoroughly depressed myself trying things on; nearly dislocated bad shoulder trying on a sports bra - don't ask! Worst changing room mirror anywhere. In honour of celebrating my first week of C25K, I bought some running shoes, running tights/capri pants whatever they are, new top and a new sports bag as the one I use for the gym is in a state with stuck zips etc. Just borrowed Mr N's iPo$ to download the next running program as it would be easier than my phone. Optimistically tried a drag and drop but the blighter needs iT*nes so currently downloading that, which will doubtless faff my computer up.
- went to Ald!
- Came up here an hour ago to work but got sidetracked with iPo$. Gah.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Decluttered some naighbour rage.. then some more at environmental health and some to the letting agents and some more to the police..
Today, I rage cleaned.. neighbours were quiet.. one misplaced breath and they may have been decluttered to Hell.
Dot helped OH with gardeny things and the others helped me with housey things.. they needed to be separated.. they were all exhausted and arguing thanks to nasty neighbours making noise until 3am!
I have DD2's room to empty tomorrow.. that is a feat in itself... and I'm hoping to sort a chair swap with my sister!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all,
Got a real spring in my step today - kiddies going on a sleepover, so me and DH can go walking and then for lunch at a country pubwe spend so little quality time just the two of us, today is much needed
WM is doing its thing, and I have unloaded the DW. Will stick a spag bol in the slow cooker shortly which will be dinner for tomorrow. Stayed up late to listen to the fight on Radio 5 live last night, really enjoyed it and well done Anthony :T
Have fab days all xxMFW

Tutoring today (via skype) and an attempt to get some more of this done. I also want to tackle our bedroom, which is the only place in the house we didn't touch before our visitors came.
Major declutter required.

Morning all. Enjoy your time with DH ATB.
Another day at bowls event for me. Have just made sandwiches for it but really need to get moving, as I'm not dressed yet and still need to walk the dogs.
Here is a list of what I haven't done:
Cut the grass
Made niece a birthday card
Sorted a charity bag
DH managed to spill his red wine last night so when he gets back from the paid stuff, he will be decorating.
Have a great day all.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Good morning
I have had breakfast and updated my list. I managed to get all 8 stickers up on the windows - the doors were open, and I didn't notice any flies around. More importantly the dog seemed settled, so that's the main thing!
I need to get to the allotment today. I didn't get there yesterday, and there is still so much to do! The seeds I planted last week still haven't germinated, despite me talking nicely to them. I am so impatient!!
I also need to get some shopping, and go horse riding. My ankle is still really painfulI suppose I need to rest it, but that is easier said than done! I may need to see a Dr if it is not any better by the end of the week (I have the morning off Friday).
Ok - I had better get started! Ibuprofen first though.....0
