    Morning Folks! :D

Been yet another busy week thus far...

The laptop is great, new hard-drive fitted, OS re-installed, all required software loaded. Will be increasing / upgrading the onboard RAM to maximum supported when I can to ensure it is operating as fast as possible. May even look into upgrading the CPU if it is worthwhile...
So far tho' it is doing everything I need it to do for work, so I'm happy with that :D

Having a dog is great :D Great company and she loves the great outdoors too, helps keep me fit lol

I am also starting off on a fresh savings plan at end of month... basically whatever I have left over goes straight into savings. I do have budgeted amounts to go to a few savings pots, however I have been guilty of not moving the month's end surplus into savings, so that needs to change.

Well, rest of team are piling in to the department now... need to get the head down and get on ;)
Got my Coffee and here we go!

Catch you all later. Hope everyone has a great day :A

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Phew - read it all.

Great news on the new fur baby. Love my cat but hoping for a dog sooner rather than later
Well done on the lappy resurrection!
Hope all was well with the missing friend.

Will hopefully be around a bit more now work has settled back to a normal rhythm as I just love the positive can-do vibes that beam out of your post.

    Thanks Lucifa73 :D

Missing friend is a fellow forumite that hasn't posted in a while and myself and others are concerned and hoping that they are just busy with RL things and are ok and will return soon...

The wee hairy yin is currently curled in her basket having taken the huff with me because I had to give her yet another shower after her mad ersed escapades on our walk ower the braes. There was more mud on her than a John Deere!
She now smells MUCH better and is clean with a nice shiny coat... until next time...

When you are ready to look for a dog, please think to adopt. My wee staffie girl is an adopted rescue ;)

Heading off to bed with a book now
    Goodnight, good people

Judging by your signature line and some comments through the diary you have good taste in reading material - what you into at the moment? I'm looking for some good recommendations!

    Hi Lucifa73,

At the moment I am re-reading Neil Gaiman's American Gods, I highly recommend anything by Gaiman if you're not already familiar with him. I got into his work years ago via the Sandman comic series, excellent stuff...

Another recommendation is our own and unfortunately late Iain Banks or Iain M Banks. His mainstream works are great reading, The Crow Road, The Wasp Factory, Espedair Street etc and his Sci-Fi, Feersum Endjinn, Consider Phlebas, Use of Weapons etc is excellent stuff too. A great writer and a lovely fella too, his signing sessions were legendary...

Another good read are Tad William's books... The Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series, The Dragonbone Chair etc and his Otherland series are fantastic.

Also, Jasper Fforde and his Thursday Next series, very weird, very funny and very highly recommended...

Hope that's enough to keep ye busy for a wee while ;)
