Incidentally, who was the supplier from the Which comparison website that came close to Powershop?
Fewkeste,
It's Yorkshire Energy, who are quoting £0.1144 per kWh and a standing charge of £0.189 per day.
The "Top Shopper" comparative figures figures are £0.11445 and £0.17288
Looks like this:
1,000 kWh pa - YE = £183.39, PS = £177.55
3,000 kWh pa - YE = £412.19, PS = £406.49
5,000 kWh pa - YE = £640.99, PS = £635.35
10,000 kWh pa - YE = £1,212.99, PS = £1,207.60
13,000 kWh pa - YE = £1,556.19, PS = £1,550.95
I'm using about 8,500 per annum.
YE might only supply the Yorkshire Area.....
I'm very interested to hear about your refund, did you email support@powershop or some other department?0 -

I just used the webform that pops up when you select the contact us option (top right of account page)0 -
I have put a request in for a refund on 7 powerpacks I purchased between Jun 16th 2017 and 26th August 2017
I'll see how I get on0 -
Wow that was indeed quick. 48.68 refunded as requested (7 powerpacks in total)
Can't ask for better service than that surely. Will be back in my bank account in 3 days
I've even kind of made money out of it though not a lot (around £1) as natwest pay me 2% rewards on direct debits
Quite happy with that as none of the powerpacks were above 15% discount0 -

Yes - I forgot that I earned cashback via my current account as well. A sneaky person might think up a way of making money out of this - i.e. buy everything then request a refund at a later date:D
However, the ease of getting a refund means that our advice to new customers could now change. We could safely now say 'buy all discounted Powerpacks you can to build up a good credit then, after a while, review your purchases and ask for refunds on the lowest discount Powerpacks'0 -
Yes I agree fewkeste. I was very suprised how quickly this refund was processed.
I had 3 totally unused future powerpacks and 4 partial powerpacks refunded
I used the same contact Us Webform as you did
The refunded amount is now sitting as a credit in my powershop account so I can buy new powerpacks with it if I wish
The email I received informing me of my refund suggests the actual funds would be passes back to my current account via direct debit in 3 to 5 days0 -
I have requested again and am waiting to hear from them.........0

So here was the response to my request for a refund:
NOTE: No refund of a partially used PowerPack!Good afternoon, Mick.
We cannot re-fund only part of a pack so I would be unable to part refund your Jumbo pack from 12/10/2017. As I'm sure you are aware, the remaining balance is related to the 'worth' of the pack rather than the cost which is why this can't be part-refunded.
I can, however, accommodate the refund of the other unused Powerpacks that you advised should you still wish for me to do so. The total would then become £65.96; please let me know if you would like these packs refunded.
I must warn you, however, that once these are refunded you will not have the option to purchase them again and you will lose the discounts offered permanently.
This will mean that you have not purchased all available powerpacks and you will not achieve the Easy Saver Rate as a result of this.
Therefore, your acceptance of this refund will be confirmation that you understand that you will not be able to achieve the effective Easy Saver Rate as a result of this refund.
Please let me know via return email if this is acceptable.
Kind regards,
Jack
Thanks
The Powershop Crew
Now that sounds like a threat to me......
They don't want me to have any money back!
Fewkeste & Tafrock - have you been with them 12 months?
Did you get this "warning" response to dissuade you from having a refund?0
