End of current review period today so I decided to do a full calculation of what I've used each month using the Top Shopper rates for kWh and daily standing charge. I've actually beaten Top Shopper rates every month so far, so I'm going to wait a few more months to see what happens over summer.

I suspect that because you are a relatively new customer you are offered Power Packs of higher value and sometimes higher discount than longer duration customers like myself and Tafrock.

Over the summer it's likely that discounts will be very poor - insufficient to meet Top Shopper rates but I may be wrong. If many customers start to move away it's just possible that Powershop may make the summer Powerpacks more attractive.

Like Tafrock has requested I would also ask you to keep posting what Powerpacks (value and discount) become available as the months roll by. That way we will be in a position to judge if/when it's worth returning as a customer.

FYI, having read someone's comment about Powershop falling down the comparison sites' best deals lists, I did a comparison and that certainly seems to be the case at present.

When I chatted at quite some length the other day to the head of UK pricing and other management they seemed to dispute powershop was falling down the comparison tables. I pointed out they were. I thought they were lower but after rechecking they are 16th the league now. One of the big factors in this is the huge increase In Standing charge being imposed this year. Mine would have gone up to 21p a day in October. Works out at 80ish a year for me. That's a huge chunk of my annual spend

I like powershops way of doing things but the increases are just too much once your heavily discounted packs are all used up

OK, so I've decided to switch away myself, too. I now have an EV and would like to take advantage of Octopus' time-of-use tariffs for cheap charging. I'll receive £50 for using a referal link and have another definite £50 lined up, too, from a relative who's switching next month.
Having started the switch, PS have removed all future packs from the shop but I can still enter meter readings and the Power Organiser is still there. PS told me the shop will stay open to allow me to buy packs to reduce my final bill.
It's been an interesting experience but I can't see myself coming back unless the electricity becomes significantly cheaper than Octopus' time-of-use tariffs.

For anyone who has been with Powershop for approx a year or more, could you please post old energy supplier bill total and powershop bill total for the same period please?

Cc120 that's an irrelevant comparison. It's extremely unlikely that for two consecutive periods of time separated by more than a year that the consumption would be identical. All I will say is when I became a powershop customer in June 2017 my bills were the lowest ever for around 18 months. Then they stated creeping up so I left

Interesting that you're getting 49% discount for your Smarty-pants pack - I've only ever got 20%.

I am a dual fuel customer so I think the discount is doubled for some packs as a result.

Before I used to be able to add 2 of each packs but now its just one which may explain it.
