  • You eat a far wider range of foods than I so will probably be ok. Btw, just noticed 3 other things waiting to be rehomed from the clothes box. 3 unworn items of nightwear that are now heading to a homeless shelter.

  • Ah good for you, I have a bag of clothes in the house that are just sitting there collecting dust, might try to find a local one and do the same.

  • A late start today when early is called for thanks to the joys of a better night's sleep. Need to go into nightmare client to meet with one of theIr funders at eleven. They have yet to provide me with the relevant paperwork as, on Friday, manager left after an hour as he'd completed his paid for hours. Seriously? They are in crisis and he thinks it's acceptable to push off leaving stuff undone when he's the only person with access to the documents.

I then need to get home to contact Irish tax authorities by phone as I need advice that I can't find on their website. Last night I dumped 2 boxes of out of date chocolates having taste tested one first. I'm quite smug as I'd previously have kept and eaten them.

Yesterday we had brunch then started shopping for eating plan. It's amazing how much further your money goes when you aren't buying junk. That said, we also didn't buy any meat as there is quite a bit in the freezer.

I now need to go and find some relatively cool but official work wear. Today I am grateful for
Work that needs done, as opposed to this time last year when I had no work!

No wonder that nightmare client is in crisis with staff like that.
    It just beggers belief.

  • They got worse beanie, they truly did. When I went in yesterday, things that needed to happen weren't in place including arrangements for a meeting that needed to happen last night. The manager has been completely derailed by something that was so inevitable, a visually challenged person would see it coming. His response was therefore to do nothing. I don't know how long I can prop him up esp as it is causing me to neglect other clients. Yesterday was not an NSd as I paid £1 for a staff lunch, parking meter while attending a solicitors on behalf of this client and then a KFC for me and DH as I was only getting home at nine.

On the plus side, I'm now halfway to getting tax and insurance sorted.

Just had a catch up - client sounds a nightmare.
I can imagine how much you miss your dd and dog. Seems very quiet here after having dd and gdds here for just a short time.

Are you tied into continuing with this client? Is it only the manager you're dealing with or are his superiors in the picture. Propping him up is all well and good, but it isn't really going to help the business if he is unable to deal with pressure - maybe he;s in the wrong job. It sounds so stress worthy for you, and I'll bet you're not getting paid enough from them to have to put up with it.
Hope you enjoyed your KFC :)

Don't let the rubbish manager jeopardise your work with other clients.
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
