Fingers crossed cherry. First one is currently in bed and will only be tempted out by the prospect of the Christmas tree purchase. I picked her up shortly after 5 yesterday. She had a 6 hour stopover and used the time to catch up with eastenders. She managed to visit every Central American country plus two that are officially South America and has multiple tales to tell. But she has plans for a concert tonight, a meet up with a friend tomorrow and then we are going to a big screen viewing of miracle on 34th st tomorrow night. I’m not sure when she’ll have time to unpack. On other news, two noon deadlines were achieved work wise and I appear to have lost a work in progress report. That needs to be addressed.Today I am grateful for

Whoop, whoop, whoppdiddy whoop. I’ve lost a pound so mr wii advised me this morning. Am relieved that the upward trajectory has halted a bit. On other news, a visit to mr l generated a turkey, veg and a chance meeting with an old friend. The Christmas tree was also purchased and is in situ but not decorated- it had to dry out. Today I will be on soup making duties, dropping off some goodies to a friend and then treating dd to dinner at my favourite Belfast based restaurant just round the corner from the cinema.Yesterday dh’s mother called him to give off about his father. The man has dementia and she’s refusing all external help as she believes he can get well and his forgetfulness is down to laziness. He has a brother who lives with them but he just goes along with what the mother says. I really don’t know what she expects dh to do. He has already planned to go over mid January but she won’t take any advice or real help.Today I am grateful for

Yes congratulations on your weight loss and enjoy your meal with DD later. 😋The situation with your FIL must be very hard for Mr INOD as his mother is putting her head in the sand over the whole thing. As you say, there's not a lot he can do as he's so far away. I do hope she listens to him finally when he goes over to see them in the New Year. 🤞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

It’s so hard when they won’t accept the reality of the illness. We’re having a similar situation with Dh sister. I was very bad yesterday and didn’t answer a call as she keeps phoning and asking for a deceased relative phone number….every time she is reminded there is no phone anymore - it triggers her memory that relative has passed away and it’s very upsetting for her. She is still insisting she can drive 😳 apparently she is to take a test in January and I’m hoping somebody official will tell her point blank not to instead of suggesting it might be best if she doesn’t 😳 If it was my mum I would hide the car keys but her Dd won’t hear of it saying docs will tell her 🥴when she can no longer drive.Enjoy your time with your family over Christmas 🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼🎄January spends - £587.583

Two cousins hid their dad's keys, but he just got the dealership to make another set, and another set, at £100 a time. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4
