Thanks Milann. Looks like I lost another few days. I’m pleased to report a recycling centre run and a charity shop drop off with some things binned as unfit for either. Things have also been going well on vinted so more items leaving the house. There has been a bit of a breakthrough regarding the kitchen table, aka the dumping ground. It’s nearly fully useable as opposed to just one end being useable.
on money news, we have decided to stash £3k set aside for building work, into pbs. We know it’ll be more than that so are keeping £1.5k on hand while waiting for it to kick off. Fingers crossed we will squirrel away a bit more and maybe won’t need to take too much from pb. That’d be us sitting at 75% plus for end of December.I had my weekly conversation with mr wii and am up 1 lb over the last 2 weeks. That brings me within 1lb of the next stone up so effort is required. Upping my water intake would probably do it.
on work news, I picked up a new client this week. Just a one off piece of work but bills will get paid. I now need to knuckle down and get two pieces in particular over the line. I’m hoping to shift one today.
this afternoon I am going to an autumn fayre thing organised by a few local shops. This is the first one they have done so I’d like to support even with low expectations. It’s within walking distance which is good. Fingers crossed the rain stays away.On Tuesday we are due feedback on the family member’s health status and this week, we hope to hear the outcome of a job interview dh had last week so potentially lots happening. Yesterday we sorted through unused prints, pictures and wall hangings. I think we’ve identified 6 to go so will aim to list these and see what happens. Any funds should probably go towards frames for the ones left. Once the building work is done, we will have more options for hanging.I really need to get underway. Today I am grateful for

Using pbs as a way to keep the money aside is such a good idea. Hopefully it will win you a little extra but even if not, it's safely available but not in a hurry.
I hope there's a double dose of good news for you this week - health and job - go easy on yourself till you know the outcomes as it's bound to be on your mind.
And well done on getting a new client and the continued decluttering!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I spoke to the relative yesterday as they live in a flood stricken part of England. Turns out today’s appointment is just a follow up to surgery and the where we are assessment will be next week.We went to the autumn fayre on Sunday. The only positives were that we walked and the purchase of two burgers saved us having to make lunch.
yesterday I got two client meetings done though both need follow up. Little else was done. Dinner was left overs from the takeaway dh bought on Sunday evening when I just felt bleurgh so didn’t eat.Today has lots to do starting with dropping dh in for his work day plus getting another item out of the house.
today I am grateful for

Apparently not as he was completely oblivious to the flooding issue until I prompted a google. Then he announced, oh, I thought that was the river but it’s a street! Oh to be a self involved oblivious millennial.
well, I got dh to work then headed to the shops starting with an artisan bakery where funky breads that I don’t eat were purchased. Their prices have skyrocketed. Then went to spend a long standing gift voucher which remains unspent and into m&s where some whoopsied items were bought and the Christmas brochure obtained. I forgot to pick up the to go item so it’s still here.
the handyman, as opposed to the builder, came in the afternoon and started two jobs but was only here an hour or two and said he’d be back today. A difficult call was made and two client meetings were had. I thought I’d gotten nothing done but it’s not as bad as I thought.Today I have a 9.30 teams so need to, at least, make my top half presentable.
today I am grateful for
