Strange times for you, I think you have to find your own way through and not push too hard to be 'normal' when you don't feel like it.
Nice to have a Premium bond win, mine have never come up!
You do realise, don't you, that you have a virtual army behind you waiting to picket nightmare ex-client's premises?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thinking of you and sending gentle (((hugs))). Be kind to yourself. XXXXI Believe.....

Thanks to you all. The support is appreciated. I have been dwelling on far too much and just need to get the big girl pants on. I will actively tackle the wrong doing on the part of the ex client but I need to stop letting it and misery wallowing define how I live. Great words from someone still under the duvet.Today we transferred the pb win to the mortgage. The end is getting closer but hitting the target will be very tight. My sig has been updated to also reflect the 1lb weight loss that mr wii advised me of this morning.A client has money en route so it appears that, although it will decimate my business account, I should be able to make a healthy payment into my pension pot. That will however leave April and May as very squeaky months as I will have my car insurance, a quarterly gas bill and probably my rates bill. I try to pay this annually to gain a discount and also to minimise monthly outgoings which helps when income is uncertain. So this week I have two client appointments, two social / work engagements and a haircut. I really need to update the 6 year old linked in and website photo. I also need to sort out transport of a wardrobe from my mother’s house and find places for the small items that I already have taken to my house. I think I will also need to source a solicitor to address the ex client matters. I need to talk to an ad hoc client about an invoice I need to raise.
For now however I need to knock screen time on the head in favour of actually doing something.
today I am grateful for

Well done on the weight loss. (Of course Terry's chocolate oranges count - I should be horrified if they didn't and all my calculations would be thrown out of kilter).
So nice to see the mortgage shrinking, too!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

While currently having enforced downtime, I thought I’d do a not very much to report update. The enforced downtime is while I wait a call from my GP about an extremely painful back and right leg. I think it’s sciatica but don’t have anything stronger than ibuprofen in the house. Two clients paid last week and one payment is en route. Needless to say, the nightmare client continues to be a nightmare. I spoke to a solicitor last wed and things are now being put in train. They sent me a holding reply on Fri on one of the four outstanding matters but it’s too little too late. I did however get a really supportive email from someone previously associated which was so nice and so positive, it made me cry. It’s good to know there are good uns in real life.If anyone reading this doubts the value of an emergency fund, please don’t. If I didn’t have the funds available, I couldn’t have engaged a solicitor and the client would have gotten away with so much including money owed to me. As it is, the knock to my confidence resulted in me failing to pursue two opportunities.I did the client and social time last week and am grateful to the very pragmatic friend who structured the complaint for both the solicitor and the regulator. It meant that I included things that I would have let go but she was right.
on the money front, little is happening. I’m afraid of spending now I’m back to uncertainty about income. It does look like I have overpaid my tax bill but the hard copy info from hmrc is at odds with what’s on line. Still, it’s an incentive to file this year’s tax return quickly post year end.
my weekly conversation with mr wii showed my weight has dropped to 12st 2lbs but the reduction was only just over half a pound. Only other thing to update is on my hair. Suffice to say that happily it tends to grow quickly and I need to stop taking problems out on it.
today I am grateful for
unexpected support
