I hope you've been able to make some progress today. Sadly as the times are unprecedented it's hard to find the way forward and your organisation is lucky to have someone as professional, kind and hard working as you. Just about anything you do is bound to make the situation better especially for your residents though from what you say they are less of an issue than staff.

Thanks for all the input and support. One of the problems is that we are a single site charity sitting outside of the care sector as we offer support. We don’t sit within a “grouping”. None of the staff have had any type of management training and some are highly resistant to change. Because of the current crisis, our trustees aren’t coming on site and aren’t meeting. Plus I’m now single point of contact for our statutory partner who require an increasing number of returns. That said, I did ask someone who always offers remote help and, guess what, it’s not something she can help with. I have arranged with the chair that dh will do a day’s paid work to tackle one particular issue. It’ll ease the pressure and also make me feel better as he has been pitching in regularly to keep things going.Today I need to deliver bad news to a group of staff who will not be happy but there’s no other way for them to be told. Right, I just need to get it out of the way.

And another fairly good night was had. It makes the biggest difference to me.Today I should get payroll over the line and then the drive around the country starts to get the cheques signed. Apart from that, while I have lots to do, I’m not sure where to start. I think I should start by making a list.
so, just been advised by a call from the client that the plumber has burst a pipe and the place is being flooded. Happily there’s a spark on site with him who is managing the electrics. Gotta go though I’m not sure why but need to get on siteMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. At least it was the plumber who made a hole in the pipe, so s/he should be sorting it out.
Hope payroll went well.

we have one room decommissioned as the fire alarm is fried. Otherwise we are relatively unscathed. Payroll is close to complete bar actually getting cheques signed. My invoice has also been approved which is good. I had a difficult discussion with a staff member so that is another box ticked plus the relief chef was on so a bag of cooked sausages came home for our four legged fiend. The other chef puts stuff in the food waste.
DD has had a hellish week so the dog 🐕 FaceTimed her yesterday evening. She appreciated that. I think the whole lock down is starting to wear her down. It’s been way too long where she is being absent from family and friends but still having to engage face to face with clients.Today I am going to the client. I will spend possibly two hours there this morning and will return this evening to meet a cheque signatory. The second one I will nab on Monday.
