Wise words from you all as always. Thank you. Milann your mum’s saying made me giggle as it’s a phrase used by Shrek but not in relation to tears! We had a few rollercoaster days with a suspected case of covid on Thursday. Results were negative on Friday (I went in) but a clearly unwell service user had to be hospitalised. They are still there but in good spirits.I called the gardener fri evening. He’d forgotten. He came yesterday and will cost more than we have in our gardening pot so a big push is needed to increase that. Our cleaning lady hasn’t been in since March so I’m allocating what we would normally pay here for April to the gardening pot. I have to laugh. Well it’s that or cry. DH pointed out that we had saved for some of March and May too so we could put that in the pot. Just when I think he’s getting on board with finance stuff, he comes out with a comment like that. He clearly doesn’t see the additional lock down costs or that our rates bill is due next month.Yesterday I got the kitchen cleared and cleaned and even cleaned the dishwasher. I also got all the ironing done. I Identified two items of clothing that most definitely do not spark joy but that have had little wear. I’m nearly afraid of getting rid as they are there in an emergency. They have a combined cost of around £35 last December. I think I bought them because they fitted without considering how they actually looked. I wonder if they could be altered but am not sure that would be cost effective. I also identified a top I love but that is now two sizes too big. This must go to reduce the temptation to grow back into it.I gathered up various things to go to the garage that will be put to use in the garden when it’s sorted. These include lights and daffodil shaped bird feeders that were recent presents. We are still unable to find the fittings for our new clothes horse that we put somewhere safe. I just hope that I didn’t dump them.
Today is dh’s birthday. The present I ordered has not arrived and I have nothing at all to give him. There is a parcel from ds but DD’s package has not been delivered. I did however identify a local cafe that is doing take away breakfast so have pre ordered one for collection at 9.45, the first slot. I just hope that the four legged one is content with just my company until then.

I wonder how many of us keep a supply of different sizes in the wardrobe for when we yoyo up and down with weight
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Thank you all for your comments. Well, yesterday was a bit of a lazy day though some stuff got done. The takeaway big dirty fry breakfast meant that there was no need for lunch. Laundry was done and dried with only one item going to be ironed at some point in the future. The stuff destined for the garage actually made it there though there’s a pile of clothes still waiting to be put away. The bedding was changed and we opted for a lighter duvet. That combined with an open window did not make for a good night’s sleep. I was cold! That will be addressed before bed tonight.I also raised an invoice and paid myself for April along with expenses. How ridiculous that I hate seeing money reduce in the business account even when it’s to pay me.Today I am determined to get things done work wise. I just need to get a move on.
today I am grateful for

Don't feel guilty about the money going into your account!

I know what you say makes sense. I’m just very protective of my business account. I watched it dwindle for my first six months. I don’t want to be back there.
yesterday was a bit of a disjointed unproductive day with weird demands one of which resulted in dh coming on site to bail me out. It meant it was 8 before I got finished.I am fed up with that place. I need a break but it’s just not practical at present.Still, it’s paying the bills. Today I have a call with a contractor who hasn’t delivered what’s needed and wants paid. I’m fed up with this. I’m also fed up with having to go it alone as none of our trustees come on site.Aren’t I a whinge bucket today?
so, an extra cover was added to the bed which helped last night though I still didn’t manage to sleep through. I do however feel better than I did yesterday. Right, need to pull on those big girl pants.

Such a bad night last night. I am feeling completely overwhelmed and teary. I need a break but more staff coming back are bringing more problems and there’s no one else available to get stuff sorted.
