Today I need to get last month’s payroll adjustments put through for this month’s payroll to get done. I want it processed as quickly as possible just in case but ideally with all cheques signed before Easter. This will require visits to signatories leaving paperwork on steps while sitting outside in a car. Hopefully the police will be understanding.Last night I caved and ordered a takeaway. This was after a bit of an IT related crisis that I dragged DH into deal with. Thankfully it was after his year end! He was also able to sort out a service user’s mobile phone issues.
There was a mix up of my making with the takeaway whereby I was getting and being charged for double the amount so a donation was made to the staff on shift. On other news, I finally got a holding response from the car related complaint submitted on 04 March. Not what you would call speedy but it is what it is. I wonder what the final platitudes will be. Today I do not need to taxi the chef. That resumes at 8.50 on Sunday when I will do a short day and most probably serve the Sunday lunch he will be cooking. As I don’t have to work to anyone else’s schedule, I may nip to m&s food hall and spend £20 of sb vouchers on nice meals for my day off. We definitely need both bread and milk today. I’ve decided that today will be both busy and productive with stuff getting done.
today I am grateful for

Some people are just unbelievable. We had 2 service users move out yesterday owing close to £400 who asked if staff could sort out starter packs at short notice. It couldn’t and didn’t happen but really? They have been supported and have money to meet their bills but just choose not to pay a charity. I’d say we will pick up significant debt over this period. I managed to get 70% of the way through payroll. There are some outstanding queries but I have sent off what’s done to the payroll provider in case there’s a glitch with me.
the car people called back. By way of apology, they will do a free service when we get back to business as usual.Yesterday I went to m&s. spending my £20 of vouchers cost me another £33 but I bought a number of quiche reduced to 41p and crisp bakes down to 64p. I also got two packets of bake at home baguettes that I love and that are a good store cupboard staple. DH benefitted from 3 packs of the chicken wings that he loves and that are so useful for when I’m getting fed at the client. Easter eggs were bought to go to the offspring today. These will be accompanied with a smallish money transfer.Fingers crossed but today I will be at home. I have both house stuff and work stuff to get done. I also want some curl up time with the furry one.Today I am grateful for

Hope you have a lovely restful day at home INOD.Pity the service users don't have the money they're supposed to pay deducted before they get it.There'll always be some who think the world owe them a living and never apprecaite wht people do to help them. Thank goodness there are others who do appreciate what's being done for them. (((hugs)))I Believe.....
