Got my invoice done and did a 7 hour shift yesterday starting at half seven in the morning. Came home, napped in front of tv then did a bit of a bulk buy shop in a newly opened food warehouse for which I had a £5 off voucher. Dinner was two £1 frozen pizzas, the remaining half of the 10p apple pie and ice cream from the freezer. With no more call the midwife, the ironing didn’t get done though there is now a mountain of it thanks to the washing machine being repaired.Today I need to be in early to sort out the papers for today’s interviewers. Yesterday I committed 3 hours of tomorrow that I can’t afford to spare but where I couldn’t see an alternative. I also have interviews tomorrow plus management committee tomorrow night. It will be another long week but I will hopefully escape for the weekend.Today I am grateful for

So we may have 2 posts filled. Unfortunately it will create gaps elsewhere but we can Hopefully address that. Another storm hit last night but dealing with it will have to wait.Last night I decided that a client would have to make do as I wasn’t prepared to put myself under any further pressure. If they can’t see why, it’s time for me to step back.
today will be a long one but it includes the introduction of some help for me which is good.
it also involves interviewing for two bank staff which should lighten the load. Our night time staff have been cut by a third and we are down to 7 out of the 12 day shift between now and the end of March. It’s a struggle plus we need to get stuff delivered by the end of March to recover funding.
today I am grateful for
bulk purchasing hand sanitizer when our grant needed to be spent. This was pre Coronavirus but means we should be well covered for the next 4 months.
donated tasty food for the dog

Great that you have both sanitiser and staff, even if these are internal appointments meaning there will be other posts to fill. At least with internal appointees there is less to do in terms of getting them up and running, and with the staffing levels you have that will make quite a difference. I do feel for your organisation: people can operate at that sort of level for a while but eventually something gives.
Hope you have a less stormy day today.

we have two more bank staff which is great. We will be making use of one from tomorrow as his police check from when he last did shifts for us is still valid. We had management committee last night that ended earlyish for it. My new secretariat support was there and it has made such a difference not having to worry about minutes etc. Even though it’s not that time consuming, just to have it removed from the to do list makes things easier.
today I need to pick up other client work. This has been sorely neglected. I also need to do some ironing. I need to create a to do list for a staff member who is always willing to help but as I have discovered, at a cost of what needs done.
today I am grateful for
more donated food for the doggy. She is the only one here guaranteed to be fed if we have to self isolate.

Amazing to be able to have a new member of staff on board so soon! And good that your secretariat support is in place too - writing things up is time consuming and I'm sure you could do without that.
I imagine if you had to self-isolate you would find a way to feed yourselves - delivery drivers must be working overtime! - but I'm glad the dog is provided for. It's hard to know what's reasonable provision and what's hoarding, isn't it? I'm going for enough to feed the household for two weeks, but even that is fraught with complications and doesn't look good in terms of fresh produce (will bear in mind that the ground elder that invaded the lawn last year was originally introduced to the nation as a source of spring vitamins so it might be worth holding off mowing the lawn for now). Also I think your area has fewer incidences of coronavirus than England so it may have less effect for you.
You've reminded me I have ironing to do.
