Running out the door early today as dh is taking a half day to wait in for the washing machine repair man. Hopefully the beast will be fixable. Went for reflexology last night which was great. Also, did a few unpaid hours with a charity that’s shutting up shop. I need to get to be as good at committing time to friendship as I am to work, including unpaid work.Anyhow today I am grateful for
money repaid to me by a friend that funded the reflexology

we have a sofa in the bay window that the furry one will curl up on. If she hears my car, she will not jump to her feet barking as she does with others. She just peeps from her comfy spot so all I see is her wee head. So cute.Washing machine is still out of action as a part is needed. Looks like the final bill will be around £70 which isn’t too bad. Yesterday I rounded up a service wash and left it to be laundered first thing. It was ready for collection after four which was great. It was £17 I didn’t expect to spend but that was it washed and dried. I also got some things hand washed and out onto the line before the rain came. I also managed to get them in and onto radiators before they got drenched.I called with my mother yesterday who very kindly told me that I’d be dead if I had the wit to stiffen. I have a cough and am quite bunged up and am tired but she really knows how to make me feel good!
i had to do a few hours last night at the client and got home around one. I engaged with mr wii this morning and am up 2 lbs. possibly in part due to the mcd’s milkshake ice cream and apple pie bought on my way home. This is absurd. It is less than 4 weeks to my birthday and I want to be back in the overweight category by then. I also need to increase my veg and fruit intake. From tomorrow, breakfast is going back to porridge with grated apple and cinnamon. Even if I just do this mon to fri, it has to help.
there are various and varied tasks to be done today. These include a heartfelt complaint to the car company not just for their poor service but also pointing out that they only returned a call when it came from dh. I have invoices and ironing to do and I want to plan my clothes for the week as it makes life easier. I also need to look at the direct debit protection process as I believe that my bank has incorrectly advised me. In addition I want to clear stuff from two small tables and the top of a chest of drawers. Who knows, I may manage to persuade dh to get an item or two on flea bay.

Also trying to up my F and V. I've resorted to soup every lunch time bursting with veggies. Might work for you? A food flask? Just a thought. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

thanks DIA but I can generally get a good highly subsidised meal at the client for lunch. Generally there’s home made soup once of twice a week. It might be better for me if I revert to making soup, freezing it and taking out small quantities to have a mug of soup in advance of dinner. This also reduces the post dinner snack capacity.Today I tested my blood sugars and they are nearly as high as they were pre bs diet. Ridiculous as it sounds, I’m actually quite pleased with that as yesterday was spent eating junk and hardly moving at all. I also take three fewer tablets a day now compared to this time last year. That said, I am feeling the effects of this condition so just need to start making sensible choices.Yesterday I got nowhere near as much done as I intended but I did make some headway which was good. I just need to keep moving forward and building upon the small successes.
tonight I have a call booked with a friend and dh and I need to deal with money matters in advance of that. I’m not sure if he has topped up the emergency fund with the money dd paid us. I have also lost track of where the mortgage is, the offset fund, etc.Last night we treated ourselves to our favourite take away. There is enough left over that will be tonight’s dinner plus a sauce that can be added to ingredients in the fridge and freezer for tomorrow night’s dinner.Right, there’s lots to get done and it isn’t gonna happen while I stay on here.
today I am grateful for

Yesterday’s lunch was soup and chicken wraps with lettuce and onion so some veg was consumed. More onions were eaten with last night’s dinner plus I had a wee orange and my porridge had a grated apple. And how do I feel? Dreadful.
my cold has well and truly bedded in, I’m coughing, my nose is blocked and I am headachey. I have also arranged to do workshops with staff today so need to go in. I just want to stay in bed.Yesterday I submitted an application to be placed on a call off list. It was all a bit last minute but at least I know have some chance of inclusion as opposed to no chance. I also had my long delayed catch up call with a friend.I have also made a decision about someone I had considered to be a friend. I am fed up being let down by them and being silly enough to respond every time they ask for input. This is normally to my detriment as it can impact on my earnings. Another friend who knows us both pointed this imbalance out two years ago. I’m not normally so slow but I do tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. The line has now been drawn. I just hope I can stay firm.I’m about to get a second cup of team before heading into the client.
