Well the opportunity didn’t come to fruition but will hopefully lead to other things. The time away was good but the hotel was a disappointment for the price even though it was free to us. On a friend’s recommendation, we went to a lovely restaurant on Friday evening for dh’s birthday but it was a 15 mile drive each way. That plus our hotel being 140 miles away, I’m pooped.
Today I was at that client for a few hours and got some stuff cleared. Tomorrow I will be working in Dublin so more than 200 miles to be driven. I could see it far enough except it’s work I enjoy with a lovely client. This evening I submitted another bid for a piece of work and I’m hopeful about it.
On other news, my bs has climbed again. I’m not sure how. I spent all of yesterday with dh and he can’t see how it happened either. Part of me is wondering if I need the meds. I hope not. Today’s conversation with mr wii said I was up a pound but my weight was the same. I need to get back to reduced calorie intake.
On other news, we dropped off a bag to the charity shop, some broken bits and pieces to recycling and managed to shift 4 items on eBay that’ll net us around £20. I wish I could see a clearance.
I am in a bit of a slump. The radio therapy starts tomorrow and I feel like I’ve been given the short straw re ferrying my mum there. Typically enough 2 of my siblings have carved things up to suit themselves. Plus dd was supposed to come home weekend after next and now isn’t. I think I’m just generally feeling a bit flat. I’m also tired as I didn’t sleep well in the hotel. I’m such a grinch, I really do need to count my blessings.
Today I am grateful for

You've done great with the BS without medication so far. Fluctuations occur for all sorts of reasons, some not food related. Don't forget tiredness and stress affect BS too and that is a lot of driving to do in a short space of time.
Sorry you are feeling flat and hope the day goes well.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Yesterday I spent far longer at the client than anticipated. The outcome will be the same but it gave a nice person the chance to offload before finishing up for a hopefully happy retirement. I came home via Aldi and feeding the car. Fuel worked out about 11p a litre less which is good. Aldi was expensive at close to forty euros but included stuff for the freezer and low calorie snacks that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I’ve noticed my shopping bills are on the increase at present but purchases are to take advantage of offers as well as to feed supplies. I must admit that on Sunday I started my Christmas goodie stash as one shop had items best before next year that were selling at £1.25. I’ve previously paid £6 for them so four were purchased. Isn’t it weird that the only area where I don’t struggle with willpower is on items bought in for the C word that I’m not normally allowed to mention until September. However, even dh saw the sense in these purchases. Also, the cost went on the credit card that is cleared each month so there’s nothing additional.
I am determined to get a job finished off today or tomorrow as I need to get an invoice issued. I started it over a year ago which is a long time to be waiting for money to come in. I also have an RoI revenue reclaim that needs to come pre more Brexit uncertainty.
Today my BS was within range but only just. We did eat a bit later last night as I wasn’t home until after half seven. Arrangements for my mother are becoming increasingly complicated where they don’t need to be. I am annoyed and frustrated at how selfish and self important some family members can be but I’m trying to bite my tongue.
Today I am grateful for
Some good news for a beleaguered client

Maybe you shouldn't bite your tongue? You have a right to be included in decisions when you are affected by them. Keeping quiet doesn't always get the best results. (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,

Life is sounding a tad hectic atm. Hope your mum isn’t in too much discomfort with the treatment and you all manage to sort the arrangements out amicably. It sounds as if a fair bit is falling at your feet . Don’t forget to take care of you too.January spends - £587.581

I am familiar with the joy of sorting hospital stuff. Sending you love for that and patience. Grrrr.
I would just think it is stress affecting your blood sugar? Or am I way off?
