Hope today goes ok. I'm the same, I'd be bawling away at someone's funeral I don't know. I'm bad enough with stuff on TV.

  • Today I need to be at a client in the next half hour. Happily they are only 5 mins away. Yesterday went off ok. I got some time bounded work stuff done but there is more to get through. One of my sisters called me yesterday to say that my mum needs 5 consecutive days of radio therapy because of a small mole type of thing on her nose that has already been removed. This was a bit of a shock to say the least. She is co ordinating lifts etc. My retired brother has offered to cover it all but while the rest of us can pitch in, we should. I need to decide if and when I tell my offspring who seem to believe that this 88 year old will run forever.

Right, porridge has been consumed even though I twice managed to miss my mouth with the spoon! What age am I?

    Today I am grateful for
A responsive if crumbling health service. I’m mindful that treatment of an 88 year old may not be an option in other parts of the world.
BS in range in spite of my banana consumption yesterday, I blame Greying!

Sorry about your Mum needing treatment.

I really don't like being a grown up........all too serious!

    love to you XXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Laughing at the grown up. My daughter talks about adulting when she has to engage with bureaucracy! Last time she did this the effect was somewhat ruined by her request for a gold star for adulting.

Mum’s treatment starts 13th and there are 2 days I can’t do that week but 3 where I’m available. One issue however is that even when she did leave the house, she struggled getting into my too low car. I couldn’t understand this as she’s at most five foot tall.
