Great to hear about the 'official confirmation' - it's all paying off on lots of levels really, bs, weight, smaller jeans, more confidence, reinforced will power and possibly more.
It's so good to hear - I've been following your battle with more interest than scientific understanding
but I'm certainly happy to go on cheering you on.
I notice too that things seem to be on the up, work-wise.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Yep, just need to get back on the bandwagon as I put on a pound last week and my bs was in the high range again today. I am giving myself until eleven o’clock to wallow and then am getting my posterior into gear.
Things have been going well but not quite as well as I’d convinced myself. Yesterday I tried two tee shirts and both were still a bit neat. I also wore my presentable pair of jeans bought while I was still employed and while they fit, there’s still a bit of a muffin top. The new jobs must be generously sized.
Yesterday dh helped me out on a job and we then visited m&s food hall. The sb voucher came through on Friday so that combined with the money off voucher saved us £14.50. We still spent more than £20 but that includes some lunches for both of us. My lightbulb moment was when I returned a bag of reduced chocolate eggs to the shelf and picked up a packet of meat as I was hungry. We then got his preferred takeaway but they got the order wrong which lead to a less calorific meal, a complaint and the promise of a voucher. Maybe if I hadn’t followed it with cake and custard my bs would have been within range!
Today there is a lot to get done in terms of housework, work work and food planning. First though is brunch which is currently being sourced by dh. By eleven, I will be ready to attack the list making that is going to drive my day. I just now need to update my sig to show the 1 lb weight gain. Boo
Today I am grateful that
I’m still overweight, it could so easily have crept back to obese
I still have a £20 op to go to the mortgage from my pa payout

So, it turns out that progress ain’t as good as I thought. Yesterday I was beyond lazy and got close to nothing done bar trying on clothes and identifying ones to go to charity shop, ones for eBay and ones coming back into use. This led to the remaining too smalls being held in a much smaller plastic box along with the two remaining items belonging to dh that he needs to shrink to fit. The big pluses were that the £9 black dress from the mns outlet and the 99p jumper bought approximately 6 years ago may now get some wear.
I did not get around to even making my list yesterday but did get some stuff sorted around the bedroom as clothes were being sorted. I have emptied two large storage items and there is the potential for some pennies when dh gets things onto bay. He managed to get 4 items listed but I need jwil’s levels of efficiency to really get things going. Today I am off to meet a potential new client and then have stuff to get cleared for 2 others.
Today I am grateful for

Progress is progress, and I would certainly count all you've got done as several steps forward. Going through all those clothes is significant when you think it sets you up for warmer weather and clears two storage boxes (reminds me I have to have a look at 2 bags of mine that I didn't get through last week). Enjoy your mns dress and the jumper, not to mention getting the BS back where you want it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Second in range day in a row. This is good as I had lunch out yesterday while dinner was the other half of the custard and a welsh cheesecake plus a slice of toast.
I’m not sure about the positivity Milann, I think in part it’s feeding off the cheerleading here, thank you all. I also think it may be due to a slight change in habit. I am a bathroom reader, always have been and always will be. I read anything. However a friend had bought me a little book of daily happiness readings that, for some daft reason, I had always resisted reading. I have issues with being given self help books! Round about the time I started the eating plan, I put this book on the bathroom shelf. I now dip into it most days. It just plants the seed for a slightly different take on things I may have viewed negatively.
That plus weight loss and clearing sugar out of my bloodstream and gaining more energy may have all combined for a better result. I also think going through the work nightmare without chocolate showed me that I do have options. Maybe I am strong enough to make the changes needed. We shall see. I’d still love to get into the 12s weight wise. I genuinely can’t recall when I was last there.
I can remember that at one point I started a weight loss club when I was 12 st 3lbs. I was around 20 or 21 which means that for more than half my life, I have been at a weight that I haven’t been comfortable. Apart from the health issues, I do wonder what different choices I’d have made if I wasn’t convinced that everyone’s first judgement on my related to size.
Anyhow, no point spending time on the what ifs. The only thing I can change is the now and the moving forward. Today I have a hellish meeting planned at that client. Then an early finish to go see the new superhero movie on a 2 for 1 deal at a vip screen. The cost for both of us is £7 in a cinema with free car parking near where we need to purchase dog food.
Then home,I think, for food as there is stuff in the fridge.
Today I am grateful for

I think sorting the clothes is making great progress, don't beat yourself up. You've made such significant changes in such a short period of time too :T
