Those that don't involve pj bottoms that I have just changed into. Attendance at funeral over and done with though I must admit to losing my temper with my mother. Having agreed a time I would pick her up, which she thought was too early, she kept me waiting over 10 mins despite needing time to get out of the car. One reason for the delay was that she couldn't get a back on her earring. She was rude, bolshy and just generally objectionable. She refused to come home with any of us.
Normally I'm her whipping boy but she appears to have taken against others today. If she wasn't my mother, I would cut ties. It is not good for me to be around her. She is increasingly selfish, rewrites history and is hyper critical of me. I truly wonder what drives her.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. You know in need of direction that is so sad & it is your mums loss.
You come across as such a kind loving person that would go to the extra mile for anyone.
There was someone at DS's graduation whose mum dident even give her a card. I just dont dont get it.

Thanks peeps, sorry for outburst but I just needed to vent.
Today I cannot let this toxicity take over. Things are to be done and plans are to be made. I'm hoping for a car free day as I used our yesterday outing to also pick up £28 of groceries for which I made use of the £5 off voucher. I also got a new one that is valid for 10 days. This is a fairly basic food hall type place but meat, veg, diary and bread are locally sourced which is all to the good.
Am off now to plan out a day that will be some business development, some house, some big project and some time with OH. It can otherwise be too easy to miss out the important bits.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Today I am meeting former colleagues for lunch. I'm quite chuffed as one lady doesn't normally go for lunch with anyone but has invited herself. She's lovely and I'd like to keep in touch with her. Not sure how I will get there as this will require input from OH as to whether he wants anything picked up today.
Tomorrow I will be having two people to the house at different times. Hopefully this will give me the required posterior kick to get my dining room / office sorted today. Minor progress continues on the decluttering. Really need to get OH engaged with the bay. He sees it as more trouble than it's worth for a few pennies. He doesn't get the importance of those pennies to our finances.
Today I will update my sig as the mortgage payment should go today and the last quarter's interest went on on Friday.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Hope you have a lovely lunch today
Sorry to hear about your mum. I have a family member who is negative and along with his partner they have become quite toxic and selfish. I don't need that in my life and keep contact to a minimum. Each time I do them a favour there is no thanks and they forever moan and are pretty self centered. That's enough of a reason for me not to bother.
Have a nice day xChandelier.

lunch was great - a baked spud with bacon, cheese and beans. company matched the lunch. i drove part way and walked part way parking for free so 15-20 mins walk each way which is good plus a saving of at least £3 on transport costs. I also found a £5 note so that only left 50p cost of lunch. given that i had the car, I went to a$da and picked up some of the chicken OH likes to cook up for lunch along with two whoopsied packs of chicken wings (yeuck!)
I was contacted by a former client who may have some work for me which is all to the good. I loved working with this organisation but my ex employer had lost the job due to a retender so it'll be good to get back into that sector.
mortgage payment went out yesterday as did the contribution to savings so signature has been updated. I also issued my first invoice yesterday so hopefully I will start to have an income again. First milestone will be to repay the loan from personal funds to the business account. I can now see that happening which is a major relief.
Also I've been advised that I was unsuccessful with the job application. I have lodged a complaint based on the feedback that was provided. Can't see it coming to much though.
We also got a disappointment re our major project so we now have additional research to be done. It's frustrating as it's done to someone being overly rigid in their thinking to the detriment of their employer.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
