Thanks for all the encouragement everyone. Item collected and I now have £50 in my grubby paw. Today I'm clearing away some kitchen stuff, turning on dishwasher, doing the kitchen floor (meant to release arm on food processor and instead turned it on while it contained icing sugar!) getting a drink, listening to pop master and then getting down to work.
I need to finish two tasks, write a submission, create diary entries and do an invoice.
Also, my sister's father in law died in the early hours so there may be things to do around that. As he had been ill, chances are the funeral will be on Saturday.

  • all things done bar the invoice but that will probably go tomorrow evening. i had another tussle with HMRC today. It's so easy to get frustrated and to feel helpless given the complete lack of accountability shown by the call centre staff. looks like another email to go to their parliamentary office nut that has to wait until tomorrow in the hope I calm down.
tomorrow, i have the project related paperwork to submit. that'll make things more real

  • So, need to get the corporate clothes on today. I'll miss my track suit bottoms! Then coffee with a former colleague, paperwork to be done then meet OH for a very late all day breakfast using a voucher purchased some months ago. How weird to have a fully accounted for day.
The funeral is tomorrow at half nine. So, that will be two days of respectable clothing in one go.
I've done the text for the invoice. OH will set up the template over the weekend and it will go by email. Some possibilities emerged relating to major project so this weekend will also be a planning one.
Today I will also dispatch on bag to the chazza, a box to the ziffit collection point and will pick up the owed items on a prescription.
Now I just need to get a wiggle on. Hope everyone enjoys the journey to the weekend.
