    HNY INOD.
I do hope the blood sugar diet helps with the weight loss. You should be so proud of yourself. To have 6 months worth of salary and expenses in the bank is no mean feat. You have built your business up from scratch in a very short time. Congratulations.

  • Our dog is so contrary. Today when we need to leave the house, she decided to give us a lie in. She’s now huffing about her playtime being cut short. I must admit that if it weren’t for the two of us car sharing, I’d get back under the covers for an hour or so.

Dh and I had the house discussion and he’s in total agreement re the initial steps. So yesterday we started tackling the gutters at the garage. The big problem is next door’s gutter but it only impacts us so it’ll probably be down to us to get it sorted. This is something dd could probably do as she’s ok with walking on a roof. It may cost us a return flight but we can get that for around £30 which is less than it would cost to get someone in.

We also did some googling and it appears our council will dispose of the old fridge free of charge. I’m now on the look out around the house for empty plastic boxes that drink could be stored in.

Today’s task is to contact the chimney sweep. I am also going to ask him to look at another chimney that has things growing inc a buddleia. That will put the price up but falls into the preventative maintenance category.

I have decided to follow jwil’s lead and keep a list of items disposed off in any way. This will not include general household disposals. I am keeping a daily list in my diary and will do a once a week post. Yesterday’s items inc a broken pen to rubbish, 2 calendars and a mag to recycling and 2 shirts and a long sleeved tee to the charity shop bag.

    Today I am grateful for

  • Today I have my long awaited and frequently rescheduled hospital appointment at the diabetic clinic. I am scared. I feel like I’m in a last chance saloon and have already anticipated messing things up. I could be catastrophising but I’m scared. Lack of sleep brought on by worrying along with heavy duty comfort eating over the past few days haven’t helped.

    Wish me luck

A very belated Happy New Year inod to you and your family. You Christmas sounded lovely with all the family back home.

I was pleased to read that your OH is onboard with regard to the house repairs. I agree with you on putting back the mortgage OPs for now as I think getting the house more in shape will have a positive effect on you.

Hope everything has gone well today at the clinic.
