Last month I gave up on trying to keep track :o To the best of my knowledge I only spent £202.84 in total and that includes 2 trips to town and spending £13 in Next on baby clothes for a friends new baby (£10 voucher was used though ;) ). I know I withdrew £50 Misc money which was used up on the trips to town and a weeks shopping so I'm quite happy because that means I only spent £170 in total on grocery shopping which for me is a miracle considering I planned for about 6 weeks worth of meals!

This month however I have full cupboards and a menu plan that should keep me going to the end of the month at least, mostly bought with the £170 from last month. So far I have only spent £31 but have enough eggs, cordial, toilet rolls, soap powder, margarine etc to last me to the end of the month. I might even be able to get away with not having to spend more than £100 this month. If I can do that I will be really really pleased :D

I had allowed myself £120 this month on top of the £43 I spend with Fair organics for fruit and veg box and eggs (total £163). Unfortunately I went to Costco at the weekend and spent £40 on food items, on the plus side I have enough rice to last 6 months at least :D and enough cheese to last the rest of the month (even with my cheese loving dd home from uni!) I also bought enough chicken fillets for 6 good meals and smoked haddock for about 8 Kedgarees. I have at least 1 years supply of clingfilm and plenty of harpic. So I guess it will all even out. So from now until end of month I have £44 to spend plus contents of the organic boxes yet to come.

I'm pretty much done spending for the month, cupboards, fridge, and freezer are full.

There'll be a fiver for my second veg box, and I've allowed a tenner for milk and maybe a choclolate treat. Hah! MAYBE he sez :)

I spent less than I did two months ago and that's even including buying my kenwood chef that I'm delighted with.

Oh, I need a couple of salad bits so another quid or two...

My freezer is well stocked for the rest of this month and hopefully some of next too. With any luck we'll struggle to put together a shopping list in a week's time. So far I've spent £40 of my grocery budget. I have spend another £20 on something for my Grandad, so really that comes out of another pot.

I try to stick to £100 per month and with only one more bit shopping trip to go until then with any luck I'll be well under. I do need a few bits and bobs, but I don't expect them to cost more than £5-10 (ish).

The problem is going to come next month when we're due to have my OH's two daughters for a week. Usually we stock up on lots of things (ie, spend loads)...which then doesn't get eaten. Fortunately its usually either in tins, or can be frozen so that we can pick at it later.

Unfortunately due to bad shopping-list compilation on my part and a lack of some vital ingrediants on the shops part, I spent about £25 and returned home with out the necessary ingrediants to make ONE SINGLE MEAL. Now I must find time to go a different shop and try to do a better job this time!

I've certainly been there and done that!!! Getting better now, though - especially with all of you on here keeping an eye on what I'm doing and where I'm going wrong!!! Maybe we need a Confession Thread!

    Hi
Im new so dont know how you feel about ASDA but I got an email offering free delivery on orders over £30 which I thought was quite good because the normal minimum is £50. The smart Price stuff is good value and if you place your order a little while before you want it delivered it gives you enough time to think about it as you can keep going back and adjusting things. I found I got about two weeks worth of food for my family of four (not sure if this is good going or not !!..yet) voucher code you need is M2-R4-JG-R9 saves £4.95.

Also I love the sound of veg boxes is this just something I would need to find out about locally are they good value??

£86.89 to go to month end, and shopped up until next Monday, (other than milk and a bit of fruit).Quietly confident that we will come in under budget this month.

Did my shopping today. My weekly budget for 2 of us is £50. Today it came to £54.77, which included £5-worth of goods that Misterholic gave me a fiver for as soon as we got back, so in real terms the shopping came to £49.77. :D

So, its the 15th - halfway through the month.

Of my £100 monthly budget I have spent so far:- £106.73
    Oh Dear.

Interestingly the dog has cost more so far than us:- £113.98   mostly because I had to take him to the vets on Monday.

I suppose the only good thing is that it gives me a challenge to reduce my spending next month?! :o
