Thanks for the ZipZero tip :T - I already use HuYu, ReceiptHog and Shoppix - may as well make every receipt work as hard as possible! I plan on using any rewards towards our water bill - I already have the bank details, so figure that makes it a little easier (plus the supplier doesn't change, and I'm always changing energy suppliers :D)

Wishing you many festive greetings, tc xx

Ooh, thanks for this. I’ve never heard of those. I’ll go have a look.
Have a happy new year greent . :)

Bought a fresh chicken for £2 today. Still eating turkey from Christmas so the chicken has gone in the freezer and it will still make a few cheap meals. :)

Made a final overpayment to the mortgage for this year. Paid £30 off, so that’s £80 overpayment this month.
    I’m happy with that. :)

So, apparently it’s bad luck to do the washing and cleaning etc on New Year’s Day. So yesterday I washed my bedding and last night I cleaned the bathroom.
Yesterday afternoon I went to supermarket for some bargains. I managed to get some yellow stickered : lean mince beef- 3 packs, a large beef joint -enough for 3 meals, potatoes with herbs-ready prepared, 2 packs @ 28p each, 3 packs mushrooms @ 33pence each, 2 sweet and sour chicken ready meals - 75% off each and a few other bits and bats. I even started a supermarket savings card for next Christmas. :)
All I’m doing today is essentials-cooking dinner and clearing up.
Right now we are watching Harry Potter. :)
