I know we get lambasted for going on about the Mail all the time, but is truly an awful (at times bordering on seditious) rag!

Why offensive, you guys tell us these people hold life long principles and that includes throwing their energies, time and passions into terrorists instead of the victims of bombings.

Lots of them were ooman rights Lawyers that defended terrorists, chased down British soldiers and you know were always on the side of anyone but the ordinary law abiding person in the street

Yes - I see that Abbott's been dumped however.

    Apparently - she's "not well"

Something we've also been saying for the past two years.

The print edition of the Mail is devoting 12 pages to anti-Labour hatred (I presume it's some kind of digest of all the nonsense they've printed over the last two years).

Yet, the online edition of the Mail is leading with Theresa May being useless and having failed to contain terror.

Mail readers must be very confused.

Either that or they've realised that the anti Left blizzard of hate hasn't gone down quite so well with the younger online readers as it has with the predominantly older people who still read the print version.

So they've effectively started offering two, absolutely godawful, versions of the same paper.

I thought that was odd as well!

18 seats just disappeared, not that they ever split them out by party anyway.

I don't find the Yougov particularly realistic myself, but that would be the sort of outcome that would leave some very difficult negotiations to form the next government, LibDems would probably hold the balance of power

If no-one bought new cars or high-margin goods, the prices of them would come down. So they are responsible for us having nicer things, but not necessarily for us being able to afford basic things. You could argue that the demand for new, high spec cars over here is just pushing the price of new cars up (The cheapest new Ford Focus, a pretty middle-of-the-road family car, costs just under £20k)

Most goods produced by large companies have small margins. The car companies have something like 7% margin (and its even lower if you look at a longer term trend as car companies tend to fall o to large losses during recessions) so the idea that if people didn't pay £20k for a ford focus you could instead buy it for £10k is wrong.

The supermarkets operate on even less something like 3% margins. So those paying £5 for a tesco extra fine label jar of jam are subsidising those who pay 30p for the white label own brand.

It might be better to think of it this way. Imagine all the rich people buying the new cars decided not to buy a new one every 3 years but instead to keep them for the life of the car. Poor people would still need cars but they would have no second hand market so would have to buy new cars and eat the large depreciation themselves.

    Desperate stuff.
Murdoch, Dacre and the 4th Viscount Rothermere must be getting worried.

    Don't forget the Barclay Brothers.

The absolute fury with which these entities are reacting at the prospect that people might start thinking for themselves is something to behold.

The Tory hopes in Wales from the start of the campaign seemed to evaporate pretty quickly.

    Welsh Westminster voting intention:

    LAB: 46% (-)
    CON: 34% (-1)
    PC: 9% (+1)
    LDEM: 5% (-)
    UKIP: 5% (-)
