Why do people buy expensive cars?

My OH once owned 23 cars, including 16 Alfa Romeos, at the same time. Now, he doesn't even have a car. I'm very relieved because I don't think I would have too coped well if we'd been together at that point in his life. I mean...23 cars is just stupidly obsessive.0

I averaged 26mpg in a 10 year old 2.5 litre AWD Jaguar X-Type, so I can certainly see it being possible in a modern FWD 2.4 auto.
engine size doesn't have as much to do with economy as you'd expect.
Ok here i go..
1 gallon = 4.5 lites £5.40 a gallon. ..ref http://www.theaa.com/driving-advice/driving-costs/fuel-prices
So i pay £20 for 100 miles ..
So looks like i get 24 mpg ..
That seem crap .. supposebto be getting 50 mpg.“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Just googled it and says small trips uses twice the fuel,“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Agrinnall -.Why do you consider that somebody living on a council estate (if there is such a thing since the advent of RTB) is in the mire?
More in the mire if they're renting and usually on a modest income, people usually get placed by the council in the first place if affordability was an issue and if you buy, they are cheaper, so again money is a factorThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Robisere -.What does that (boldened statement) mean, exactly? What is it that drives you to judge other people and the way they conduct their lives?
If a person does feel an overall need to impress, they are going to personal expense for little gain, i find the general decent public doesn't rate people on their material possessions and those that do tend to be fickle friends. If they are on a modest income, like many are, they are sacrificing early retirement which is a big sacrifice when modest jobs are often a lot of slogThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. It's a 2005 Honda Accord Exec, 2.4 litre petrol automatic. Smooth, powerful, comfortable and has all the toys I need. Sacrificing a little fuel economy does not matter to me, my comfort is more important.
You really need a better memory if you insist in telling your tall tales.Hi, recently purchased a 2005 Honda Accord 2.4 litre petrol automatic. It has 121,000 on the clock and I have just changed the engine oil and gearbox oil. Since this service, the car is response and pulls well from standstill at lower revs but when I really put my foot down it just doesn't seem to pull? There are no lights on the dashboard. Car does not appear to miss fire. What could be the problem?0 -
I was expecting more from a 2.4 and I was comparing to my old car, a 330ci. Not a fair comparison really but relatively speaking the Accord still has power when called for, you just need to wring its neck as the VTEC kicks in at very high revs!0

Which Xbox button wrings it's neck, X or O?0
