Drooling over houses I love but can't afford

What I like about this one is that you can "see" the original French in the English translation of the details. Especially the bit about the "sweetness of the area" and the "traditional fireplaces." Also the mention of the park which is the land round the house. It is so French but written in English.0 -
Those houses are all gorgeous, but I don't think I'd like living in any of them. I wouldn't know what to do with all those rooms!
Something a bit more simple for me, I think:

Again, I'm not keen on the kitchen.....but otherwise that one is lovely. Fab period features - especially that inglenook - and the location/views are stunning! Yes please
Mrs36 - perhaps when (or should that be if ever) it's finished, lol!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -
but my dear boy, one has staff to do that sort of thing, and one houses them in the staff cottage elsewhere so they can do it out of sight
However the problem is then a mountain of administration to deal with those staff, and even more staff to deal with the administration.
Sadly, none of that would take me any closer to what i really enjoy, which is shaping the landscape with my own[STRIKE] fair[/STRIKE] grubby hands.
Edit: Something like Caitlin's property above would be fine, though. That's none too shabby.0 -
?
instead, how about 3 acres of private gardens but on the bank of the River Thames with easy access to central London (although too close to a tennis club for my taste)

Awful! I'm sure that used to be a beautiful stately home, full of original period features but whoever "restored" that has destroyed it. It looks more like a private hospital now!0 -

As it was only built in 2011, there hasn't been much time for restoration yet.
Mind you, if you read the blurb, you might notice 'fings ain't wot they used t'be' at Savills. I've spotted 2 spelling mistakes, and I only skim-read!0 -

It's the style I like too, love the architecture.
As somebody pointed out, it's expensive for Failsworth, still love it though.0 -
My dream houses aren't ones i can't afford, but ones I can't buy due to life's constraints. Work, kids/schools etc.
Sea views, a modern individual house with lots of large windows, a good sized busy garden...
This hasn't got rural or views, but ticks a lot of fantasy boxes for me http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-58899052.html
Mmm, and this http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-54668054.html

This used to be my childhood best friend's parents house. It looked a lot different back then.
Just far enough from the high street to be tranquil, but close enough the station to get into the West End. Wouldn't buy it even if I had the money. But a great house now.

Then there's this one, not far down the road on another level:
