Happy Friday everyone!
Today is the last day of my week off and the plan of action today is:
Last nights washing up. Done
Clear some stuff that is currently residing in the clean laundry basket carrier thing.Done
Change bed sheets. Done
Carry up clean washing and dump on bed.Done
Clean bedroom around the clean washing pile.Done
Iron what needs it and put all clean washing away in respective wardrobes/drawers etc.Nope, will do this while watching East Enders and Gogglebox
On the gardening front I need to buy some compost to put my aubergine in a pot. I don't have a greenhouse but I do have a large metal storm lantern that it can live in until it gets too big and then hopefully the weather will be warm enough for it outside? (If it isn't I thought about trying to get an old plastic bin from somewhere that I can put over it at night?) Apparently courgettes are being delivered today too so I will buy a couple.Bought the compost, £5.99 each or 3 for £10, no brainer. Still no courgettes.
I'm going to fill my washing up bowl with water and sit my hanging baskets in it for an hour a time to get them wet through as the water is mostly just running off the top. I need to retrieve some plastic bottles from the teens room to upturn in the middle for future watering, I didn't bother to do this last year and then regretted it. First one in, the cat is looking at it on the floor like 'hmm, I wondered how I was going to pee on *those* ones'
I had a nice surprise yesterday when I got £102 interest refunded on the PL I paid off early. I knew the interest was front loaded but didn't realise I'd get some back!
Lunch today is YS finest sandwiches and dinner tonight is going to be the courgette pasta thingy but with YS Parma ham instead of my usual salami (on account of DS having eaten the salami.)
I'll try to make the YS run tonight and also get a few snacks in for the teens for Saturday as I am going to my BFFs Saturday evening so I'll offer for them to have friends round in my absence.
Have a good day everyone!

*[STRIKE]put dates in diary for cancelling A*azon Pr*me and veg box trials (to be fair we may stick with the veg box)[/STRIKE] done
*[STRIKE]cheap lunch and dinner from stores[/STRIKE] cheap lunch yes but had to buy some bits and bobs for dinner so not a NSD

*filing
*trial session at gym

FVD - Be careful with that aubergine, they can be doing fine, then suddenly get the sniffles, never pick up & it's game over! I grow them in an unheated greenhouse. At the moment, my baby aubergines are all in that, covered with plastic bottle cloches & also bubble wrapped at night. I've never tried growing them outside as it's not really warm enough here. I think you are in the south-east? I gave an aubergine plant to my sister who lives in London & that survived outside (from May) but it still didn't fruit because a snail gobbled the growing tip & that was the end of it! Hope you have better luck. My best ever year was 24 fruits from 5 plants.........my worst (last year) was no fruits from 3 plants. So if you don't get it to fruit, don't beat yourself up, as they can be awkward b*ggers! But on the other hand, if you do.......whooo-hooo! We shall all want to know about it!

Afternoon Friday Frugal Ones,
Busy morning & haven't been anywhere to be tempted into spending money.
*Cleaned whole house using washable cloths & my diluted spray bottle of 'Stardrops' (just made up the last bit, so will soon be splashing out on a new bottle!)
*Changed household linens & loaded into washer for overnight laundry on cheap tariff. Looks like a warm day tomorrow so good chance of line-drying towels, etc.
*Cleared out & sorted my Christmas cupboard in the kitchen dresser. In April? Well, yes. Mum gave me 2 really pretty musical Christmas tins that she'd received as a gift with biscuits in but didn't want as she doesn't bake & I needed to find room for them. So in with those & out with some tat & stuff I can re-purpose.
*Dug out my box of Easter decorations while I was on my hands & knees. And my furry rabbit ears (which tragically, DO get worn if there is any festive cava or prosseco around...... perhaps I should just put them straight back in the cupboard while I'm still thinking rationally.......)
*Finished next week's meal plans - I can get 3 days of meals from Sunday's roast chicken, then a jacket potato night, freezer dive, etc, will see us through to Easter weekend. Still got plenty of soup, pasta sauce & home made chickpea burgers in the freezer.
*Wrote shopping list......including having a good look at what we DON'T need......like loo rolls (which seem to have been breeding), onions (which need using up) & mayo (I think mr f must bath in the stuff.......)
*Did a few surveys. So close on Ipsos, again now.
*Check baby veggie plants. Chilly grey day today so I've left the tender ones bubblewrapped so far today. If the sun makes an appearance, I'll pop the covers off them for a bit of air.
*Cleared everything out of my stair basket, all put away & receipts/financial bits & bobs put on my clip ready for mid-month budget check-in day next week.
*Sorted through grocery voucher stash to see what we can use on our shopping this weekend. Chucked out vouchers for money off products we wouldn't normally buy as 30p off something that's £2-00, that we wouldn't normally buy & don't need actually costs us, really doesn't it. It's only 30p saved if we were going to buy it anyway at normal price. (I am turning into my Nan!)
*Knit more of B-in-L's birthday socks. Am aiming to turn the heel today so need to crack on.
*Free leisure this afternoon - planning to make a cafetiere, catch up with 'The Last Kingdom', knit & read a pile of magazines I was given. First, a lovely soak in a hot bubble bath though.....the treat that gets me through house cleaning day!
Hope everyone's having a great Friday. CCL - you are there!! Friday & Easter! Whooo-hooo!
HK - Gutted that pesky kitty isn't home yet. Can you tempt her out with something really stinky like tinned pilchards? I think my cat would cross a desert if he knew there was a pilchard at the other side! Hope tonight's the night.

Thanks, Foxgloves, I am on the SWLondon/Surrey borders.
I've just looked at some pics of the plants online and they don't get as big as I thought so my idea of a night time bin might work, I'm trying to think of whether there might be any reason for anyone to make a clear one as that would be perfect if I ever forgot to take it off before work.

Today I have
- Checked banking, sent some over to savings. I have spent more than I realised on Friday, but set up quite well for the month, in terms of food shop, car filled up and bought DD a bag of after school clothes from Primarni
- Took lunch to work
- Rest of the week eating at home, I am on hols from Friday so need to plan a few things for the weekend with DD, I think the Cinema one day and we are seeing some friends on the other days.
- On the list is sorting out some old clothes for Charity
- Cleaning the oven (oh joy)
- So far so good, been to soft play today and stayed for ages so value for money.
- I bought lunch under a £10 for 2 adults and 3 kids, my friend had left her purse at home, so her turn next time!
- Had DD feet checked they haven't grown, which is good and the shoes can last a few more weeks.
- Tidied and cleaned the house.
- Started my tax return, I had a better year than I realised, so I am hoping it won't effect my tax credits, as I think I am within the £2500 limit they allow before changing the amount.
- CC bill arrived why is higher than I expect, I have paid for some wedding accommodation for Sep, so set up and automatic payment for later in the month.
- Brought some new scarfs from ebay, cheap and chip and love a scarf.
- Also brought hat for said wedding, £10 inc P & P bargain!0 -
Morning
looks like it's going to be another beautiful weekend :j
La E super belated birthday love! I had thought I had already posted so sorry
lovely content day, sounds perfect! And totes fine to get yourself a birthday present! Anything that brings joy is completely allowed!
Not much planned today. Oh is continuing working on the garden as patio work begins the start of next week :j so I will take madam out for the day. Not sure where yet...
Going to the allotment after I've finished my coffee. I want to plant some seeds as well as pot up my last 3 raspberry canes - have been too tired to do them at night
I've been falling asleep my 9.30. These 5am starts are taking their toll!
Might photo and list a few things on fleabay - maybe take CLF's challenge again, you in CLF?
all meals from stores - get something out of freezer for tea
Need to do meal plan and shopping list. This year I have reduced the frequency I go shopping and it really has brought my gc spends down considerably. I seem to do a semi big shop every 2-3 weeks (about £40-60) and then nip into sm's a few times a week and pick up ys items spending less than £20 throughout each week I don't do a big shop. I seem to now try to see how long long it is before I really NEED to do a big shop. I had planned on doing it last week but didn't have time/cbb to go. Our gc bill because of this is now averaging £30-35 pw :T
really need to sort my spending diary out as it has fallen by the wayside
later this afternoon do something as a family - might go for a walk as think the bluebells will be out
ok that'll do. Happy Saturday guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all :coffee:
Belated happy birthday LaE - I'm sorry I missed saying it yesterday.
I made it to the end of term somehow and I'm really pleased to be here, although still shattered. I'm expecting to go back to sleep after I've finished catching up on here but I've been awake over an hour so thought I may as well do something.
It looks as though the weekend is going to be glorious so hoping I'll get out in the garden. Not like you lot do though - I mean to sit on my bum and enjoy the sunshine
Today's plans are mainly based around relaxing a bit but there's always stuff to do. I need to get caught up on washing before we go away next week, and I need to do some housework as well. I also have to get ds to football and I have my tutoring session later this afternoon. Other than that, it's about getting organised. I've started making various lists which makes me feel much happier in general.
Have a good day everyone! Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Enjoy the sunshine CCL and put those feet up. You deserve to have a relax, I don't know how you made it to the end of term. My brother and sis-in-law are teachers, usually get a text from my sis-in-law, my brother was saying that she is so stressed at school, I don't think she is enjoying her job at the minute.
Foxgloves your last post made me smile......it's Easter, u might need to keep ur bunny ears out! Also with the Christmas tins, and ur Christmas present store......I was wrapping Christmas presents last week (don't ask, big family, have tried to stop presents with friends-they're not having any of it, I also do my niece's from my brother, top up presents, so wrap as I go along, especially when I snag a bargain present that I know someone will love)
Plan to put the Christmas presents away in storage today.
Just about to clean cat area
Tidy upstairs
Take daughter for driving lesson. While she is doing this, going to have a cuppa and cake out of treat spends, and get a couple of bits. Hopefully will be able to snag a couple of NSD after.
I've got to pop out to pick meds up this morning but other bits done yesterday.
I try to pace myself everyday as if I do too much, I'm in so much pain and my leg gets very swollen, but I'm a fidget pants aswell
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning everyone, what a beautiful day it is as well

Didn't manage to get on here the last couple of days and was a bit naughty yesterday and ended up purchasing some Dune shoes
They were in the sale though and got them half price at £42 - just hope they fit when they arrive!
Today I've already popped to Sainsbury's and picked up a few odd's and mainly ice-cream for the kids as they'll be screaming for ice-cream today and tomorrow with it being lovely. Got 2 boxes of Flake 99's for £2 a box. Having said that I really do need to have a good look at my weekly shopping spend... it is so high. I think i need to go back to Lidl and swap some bit for shopping there. We don't have an Aldi nearby otherwise I'd go there instead. Where do people mainly do their shopping? I'm spending around £150 on 4 of us per week!!
Anyway, rest of today should be relaxing and haven't got much planned at all this weekend:
- Mow the back garden lawn
- Wash on and will dry on line
- Check One Poll
- Check Ebay and see if I can find anything else to list
- Cleaning and hoovering downstairs
- Checking banking
- Free Workout from You Tube - Shelly Dose HIIT
That's it for now. Enjoy the sunshine :cool:0
