Any reason why you need 3 mirrors AC? There is only one of you and you can only look in one at a time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Goodness you are cutting it fine for decorating and laying carpet AC. We started decorating one of our bedrooms a week ago and still have top coat on walls and woodwork to go. Also there are two of us although hubby seems to have slowed down since retiringI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Yep:)
It'll probably look like a mental instutution once completed .
The previous colour was a muddy brown ( coffee?).
Would look good in a bigger environment, but not here .
Everything seemed dark . The previous owner painted the whole flat the same colour . Then the carpets were brown also .
I understand light and shade, but this was just...shade0 -
Well, it'll look clean and bright. Good backdrop for your pictures.0

I love plain, light colours - makes the place seem bright. What colour carpet have you gone for, and blinds? You can add colour with art, cushions etc. I have just made myself a new light-weight quilt for the bed in really bright colours - yellows, green, pinks - for the summer. I usually change the curtains and cushions over in the living room as well in late spring/autumn. The winter stuff is still out - darker checks and heavy fabrics - but in a couple of weeks it will be pale cream/green and the throws will go away. I have cream walls everywhere (the same colour throughout) and wooden floors except for carpet in the bedroom (cream - which was here when I moved in and is showing a bit of wear now).
I have volunteered to help youngest paint her bedroom next bank holiday (it was started quite a few months ago). She does the high bits on a step ladder as I go a bit wobbly now and I do the middle bits and cutting around door/window frames (where I can reach. She can be a bit stroppy (not sure where she inherited that from!! LOL) but we usually end the day still speaking to each other and order a takeaway as a reward. Then she just has to fix the wardrobe which is looking a bit sad after several house moves (dismantled and re-assembled each time) then she can risk actually hanging her clothes up. She is actually very good at DIY but is a bit impatient (those genes again!).
I hope you have some appropriate music blasting out AC to aid the painting rhythm. I have been sewing to my iPod with a very eclectic mix - a bit of 70's pop/ska/jazz/blues/country. Just heard a good one for your job - Roll(er) over Beethoven. Keep going AC - the end is in sight!
ETA - another good one has just come on - All Right (White) Now by Free. Which I have chosen as my funeral music.0 -

I have a feeling, the carpet will be layed monday week so there isnt much time left. Once carpet is done, then i will,have to give big yellow a weeks notice to ge my stuff out and i have to find a removal co.

Funny you mention bank holiday. Technically im supposed to have moved on 30th.
Love your painting music :rotfl::rotfl:
It's funny really . I could either play a motorhead compilation , or ac/dc powerage/ let there be rock albums , or ricochet by tangerine dream , depending on what side i get out of bed . Of course i could play some (b)rush :rotfl:0 -

I hope the Tangerine Dream is the group and not the paint colour! I love to play music when I have a long task to do - seems to make the time go quicker. Wish I could find my Paul Simon Graceland cd. It's not in the cd player, not in its case. Not in the case of the cd which is in the player, and I know I haven't lent it to anyone. I guess one day I will have to go through them all methodically but now I know it's missing I really want to play it.0
