Thanks grunmie
I have lots to think about over the next couple of months .
That's one weight off of my shoulders anyhow :j:j:j0 -
Great update AC. A clear hallway, end in sight for what seems like never ending dental treatment
and almost all the historic debt gone apart from Westcot. A years salary is good and gives you some leeway. Over the next few months you could update your cv, continue with the gym to get fitter and start researching any benefits you may be entitled to or putting feelers out for part time jobs.

Yes , things done and things to do . I'll have to get my thinking head on and be responsible in all that I do .

Thank you mrs. P

Just received email from payplan .
All creditors paid, except wescot. Looks like they're holding out for now. They did offer a reduced figure anyway ,so I have no complaints.
Payplan will contact them next week to see if there's anymore news .
In the meantime :j:j:j0 -
Well done on getting so much sorted. When it comes to income, would you consider agencies? I'm a TA with a teaching agency and it is a bit of a pain in the holidays with no work, but if you don't mind change, general agencies may have a variety of work - often just for days or weeks at a time.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

Hi karonher:)
Yes, of course agencies will be the way to go I think .
Amazing really , my employment record . If you include my present situation , I've been unemployed less than two years since leaving school in 1979. Yes , I'm that old
I was walking from one permanent job to another until the (very ) late '90s . It was then that I finally understood temp work .
At times I got permanent roles through temping ,and was offered some as well . I'm still not fit and ready to venture back into employment just yet. However , next year is when I should hopefully be in some kind of employment . It will be daunting and challenging , but needs must etc.
In a way , im treating this like what students call a gap year.
I needed a break . Very rarely had holidays , so I'm going to remain calm but focused and see the rest of this year out with the intention of getting fitter internally and externally and make myself employable and keep a grip on everything the best way I can .0 -
Good news AC. Congratulations on coming so far so fast. Now time for a bit of a break and some (economical;)) fun.
And no it's not an oxymoron. You can have fun on a tiny budget. It's all about planning, imagination and getting out there. You can have a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget. I do.
Does Poole have those What's On Guides. There's always lots of free or cheap things to do. Time to get out and about, maybe join a meet up group. I bet there is bound to be a walking group at least. Check out your library too, they are the Oracle. And your local newspaper and local Facebook pages and those "Spotted" pages.
Well I had a lovely time with my friend. A nice restful couple of days, sightseeing, mooching round charity shops picking up bargains, eating out, sunbathing in the garden, playing with the cats and just generally "chillin". FAb, just what the doctor ordered.
AC. Enjoy your gap year........I am certainly enjoying mine.
I think everyone should take a sabbatical every so often. It's good for soul as well as giving our bodies a much needed rest.
Back to the diy for me today. Still cracking on and making good progress.0 -
How lovely to see such positive posts lately AC - I'm still reading along.
Eldest has now moved out - not necessarily a great idea in my opinion - but I had my say, so all I can do is support her and her new partner. So this week I have been sorting my craft stuff back into the cupboard in what was her room. They are hoping to move in the next month or so, so still have her bed and a million books so it's not exactly how I want it but I am enjoying the space
Best of luck for the next stage of your journey.0
