Somebody has been working hard. 20ish positive reviews on Trust Pilot in the last day or so.Je suis sabot...0

They could be on dodgy ground there: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/online-reviews-and-endorsements-advice-for-businesses/online-reviews-giving-consumers-the-full-picture0

They've just cancelled my Direct Debit as well.
In one sense its a step forward (they've responded to the email and within 48 hours too!!!)
However, by cancelling the direct debit, it complicates the final bill (which will be a refund to me) and makes it harder for them to provide the Ombudsman settlement. I had deliberately not cancelled the direct debit. I imagine they'll send a cheque (if they do it at all), which is a PITA!
The Bank refund for the extra payment came through from the bank within 24 hours
I wouldn't worry about that - I long ago cancelled my DD with Together yet they managed to credit my bank (with two payments no less - one for an erroneous extra monthly payment they took and the other was the balance they owed me when they FINALLY gave me a final bill 7 months after I left my old house!).
So don't worry, they CAN pay the money to your bank despite you having the DD cancelled.
Anyway, I'm off to Bulb, I've had enough, still not one bill since supplying my new home since December 2017...
Can't be long before OFGEM gets involved, either because they are cowboys or when they go bust.0 -
A recent reviewer on Trust Pilot exposes the fact that they tout for positive reviews. They must be a bit desperate to whitewash their reputation:
She quotes from the end of a conversation with an agent:
I hope you were satisfied with the service that I offered and how I resolved your enquiry.
It would be great if you could use the link below to leave a 5 Star Trust Pilot Review and mention my name in the review.
Here is the link, all you need to do is click on it, then Sign Up (Register) for Trust Pilot then write your review:

They must have got the message that I am moving to Bulb as I got an email today saying this customer service agent will make a "personal promise" to get me a bill by the end of August.
TOO LATE, goodbye and good riddance, sorry state of a company, if by some miracle my final bill is correct I *might* up them from zero stars to one star
The mind boggles why OFGEM have not gotten involved with these clowns?
Oh, and I asked the ombudsman a few weeks ago how I would make a complaint about the OMBUDSMAN as I found them fairly wishy washy at best and it seems they are totally unable to force action on their decisions.
Met with stoney silence so far... but it does beg the question, who polices this ombudsman?0 -
Well Im off as well. Decided to give Yorkshire Energy a go as Im a Yorkshire man!! They were the cheapest fixed deal on MSE today so here we go. Got fed up of waiting for my TE renewal quotation so I!!!8217;m off. Still waiting for my end of July bill and I reckon they will owe me a fair bit as they upped my DD at the cheapest time of the year as soon as I owed them anything!
Will keep you informed of progress away....0 -

I am also waiting for them to put my July bill online - they had up to this point had the monthly bills up within a couple of days after I supplied my month end readings. Makes me a bit suspicious that something is awry.
However I have had my renewal quote today (my fixed deal ends on 15 Sep): My reaction to it was (to slightly misquote John McEnroe)) "They've got to be joking..". so I'm off as well.
I too was thinking of switching to Yorkshire Energy. However having looked at the Company House data on Daisy Energy Supply Limited (who trade as Yorkshire Energy) there no accounts filed to date (other than dormant company accounts from 2016) so it's hard to gauge the substance of the company. As they are coming up as one of the best buys on MSE Energy Club I'm wondering if they will be able to cope with an sudden increase in customers and whether they will be able to stay in business. Might still give them a go so long as I can stay owing them rather than the other way around.
(Impressed by their promotional website though. Seem to have put together a pretty decent site unlike some other smaller companies (particularly the juvenile and frankly appalling Outfox the Market site)0 -
thanks @shedman, I had a quick look at Co's House as well but decided to go for it and see what happens... my renewal quote from TE was also a joke. I had to tell them what consumption to base my renewal on as their gas figure was way too low. Quick reactions to switch request and one query - all by email so far, will keep you posted. Perhaps I should start a YE forum...0

I have to day received another welcoming email from E.on so Together Energy are trying to move me back there for a second time. They treat their customers with utter contempt.
I have emailed E,on refusing it for a second time, and registered it as a complaint against them too.
Can't wait to get to the Ombudsman.0
