E.ON's Self Serve Support Team responded saying they can't download attachments. They don't seem to know anything about all the E.ON IT problems you mention. Instead, they're effectively saying it's me being naive as they seem to consider I'm not competent to use a web browser. Their suggestions included:
- try a different web browser in the first instance such as one from the following list
- try increasing the Zoom Level of your Internet browser
Thanks for the update picks and sorry for the poor response you received to your email. As discussed earlier, the issue you experienced was down to IT problems that were affecting both our website and internal systems. These have been sorted now and customers can change tariff either through the website or by giving our Sales Centre a call.

Take a look at new v9 Tariff, much cheaper than v8...:j
E.ON Saver Fixed 1 Year v9
Unit rate: Normal 12.506p per kWh
Exit fees: £30
Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR): 14.28 p per kWh0 -
Looks like Saver v8 has now been replaced with Saver v9.
Youch! BIG increase on the electricity and a not inconsiderable increase on the gas for my region (EM)
About £75 more than v8 and £200 more than what I'm on now.
(There's also a new fixed v22 tariff with no exit fees that costs more, and the 2 year fix seems to have gone.)
This happened today Raxiel. Both the one and two year fixed tariffs we've had on sale recently have been replaced with different products. The Fixed 1 Year Saver v8 with v9. The Fixed 2 Year v10 tariff has gone altogether and we've added another one year fixed tariff. This is the Fixed 1 Year v22.
Saver versions 8/9 are for payment by Monthly Direct Debit and paperless billing. The Fixed 1 Year v22 has these services available but they're optional rather than a necessary requirement. Also, whereas our Saver v8/9 have exit fees for changing supplier outside of the renewal window, the new Fixed 1 Year v22 doesn't have these charges.
Our website was down for a time immediately before these new tariffs were released whilst the details were uploaded.
Hope this explains Raxiel.

Quite a difference with the figure for my region, my quote is for 14.385p/kWh and 3.648p/kWh for electricity and gas respectively (no change to standing charge as usual).
I knew it varied across the country, and some might go up while others go down, but didn't know it could be by that much!3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux0 -

Glad you can see a saving between v8 and v9 Moneyking. Prices are regional, though, and customers in other areas won't all see savings when comparing the two tariffs. Some will, like you, see lower unit rates but others will see an increase. For anyone checking, best to pop usage in kWh into the independent comparison sites.
Hope this explains Moneyking.

As above Raxiel. I can confirm our unit prices vary depending on the region. With this tariff, as well as the electricity, gas prices vary by region too. As you say, standing charges on these new tariffs are unchanged in all regions.

V9 Region East
Unit rate 14.385p per kWh
Standing charge 16.422p per day
Ouch. That is a £50 increase just today for my estimated annual usage from the previous E.ON tariff offered. And some £70 more than the current cheapest fix available.
So when the end of June comes, I won't be at E.ON anymore.0 -
V9 Region East
Unit rate 14.385p per kWh
Standing charge 16.422p per day
Mine's even worse (Midlands Region)
Electricity:
Unit rate 14.669p per kWh
Standing charge 16.422p per day
Gas:
Unit rate 3.648p per kWh
Standing charge 21.903p per day
I'm currently on v7 until beginning of next February.0 -
Thanks for the tip-off. V9 is cheaper electric for me in London (and no significant change for gas), so yet another internal EON switch coming up... :beer:0
