    Morning all,

I would like to join please to try and keep me within budget as recently going astray. I am trying to use all my extra income to pay off my credit card I put my new kitchen, boiler and barhroom on but I keep dipping into it :naughty:

Aim- I will aim for 16 but as others have said as long as I stick to budgets I will be happy

Plan- need to finalise my budget and like someone else I have a 'non-monthly' bills savings pot where I put money aside for everything that is yearly, quarterly etc...

Rest- I just got back off holiday yesterday so I am pretty rested! Goal is to ensure I do not get stressed about work again and do stupid hours like I did in the run up to my holiday!

Invite- I already have a few events planned this month with friends, the first is a meal tonight. My goal is not to commit to anything else!

Love- I am doing my front garden tomorrow. Bought some new plants yesterday for the border and banging basket. It is a bit of a mess. The back garden is a total state so that will be worked on over Easter hols. I will allow myself to buy stuff for the garden using some of the Airbnb money as I want to get it sorted once and for all with getting climbing plants established etc...

Is quite a nice day here today so going to pop my towels on the line. Then off to gym for class and swim and back to clean the house. Need to pop into town to pick up some things ordered and visit library then off out tonight so will not be a SFD.

Hope everyone has a nice day :)

    Morning everyone :hello: :coffee:
Right, I'm reading and raring to go for April. Here's hoping I can do better than I did in March.

    Aim – for at least 16 NSD’s
    I'm in for 16 - we'll see if I can do it.

Plan – it’s a new financial year, everyone needs to write a new budget taking into account increases in bills.
I absolutely have to start recording food spends again. I think that's where I'm leaking money and I don't like it.

Rest – make some time for yourself this month to just rest and recuperate.
2 weeks off work and a week away - hopefully I can manage this one.

Invite – I would like everyone to arrange to meet up with family/friends this month.
Going out for afternoon tea with my mam and sister tomorrow, which will be lovely.

Love – I want everyone to love their garden this month.
This is the one that I shall respectfully decline. Gardening stresses me out and I can't look after anything plant based at all. However, in an attempt to love my garden I do pay a man to come and keep it tidy for me. That must be love.

The monthly shop was delivered last night so I've made a big start on groceries and household stuff. Today is about resting, taking ds to football and doing my tutoring later. Have a good day all.

    Happy 01st April :)

New month - new start! I love it. The slate is wiped clean and we have another chance to try and get it right again... So, without further a-do...

    Aim – for at least 16 NSD’s
    I'm going to challenge myself to 20. I will allow myself 2 spend days/week (Wed/Weekend) + 1 flexi-day

Plan – it’s a new financial year, everyone needs to write a new budget
I'm going to sit down today, and draw up my plan for this financial year, and update targets/outgoings.

Rest – make some time for yourself this month to just rest and recuperate.
Have a long weekend over Easter and will aim for a day/week to myself.

Invite – I would like everyone to arrange to meet up with family/friends this month.
Family are visiting around Easter, and will make more of an effort with friends. Keeping my Social Fund (reduced to £25) to encourage this.

Love – I want everyone to love their garden this month.

I will be giving my houseplants some continued TLC and making sure they feel appreciated!

In line with each month - I am restating my own 2017 goals - just to keep the momentum going. I have amended where I have improved/adjusted them.

    Goal Review:

    1) Becoming Debt Free
I have joined a 100 day challenge - where I will aim to clear it ALL by 31st May!!!

    2) Exercise/Be healthy
I will aim for 1 x Nature Walk/week, 2 x gym sessions/week, and aim to use the stairs (not lifts) at work.

    3) Mindfulness.
I will do 10 minutes of Mindfulness every day, read at least 1 book on health/well-being and keep a mood diary to learn about and tame my ‘black dog’

    4) Mortgage
I will keep saving £200/month in my Help To Buy ISA. I am also saving up a 3 month EF [Target £4500.00] at £250/month.

    5) Overcoming anxiety
I am allowed £25/Month which I MUST spend on a social outing with other people, or I lose it. Go on 1 date this month.

That's me done for now... Now to put it all into action!!!

    ;)

    Additional:

    Today = NSD number 1

Went for a walk and managed some mindfulness, and started my mood diary! Balanced books from last month, and starting new financial year budget as we speak! Productive day. Will have a think about de-cluttering and start a collection box...

Right Turtles, for those who want to take part, I have decided on a small additional monthly challenge to help with clearing clutter.

There will be 2 stages of this challenge so do the one which suits you best. We are going to try and clear some of our homes/belongings so we are not as cluttered.

Stage 1 - Declutter one item every day for a month - by the end you will have 30 less items in the house.

Stage 2 - Declutter the number of items that are the same as the day of the month so day 1 is 1 item, day 2 is 2 items and so on. By the end of the month you will have a lot less stuff:rotfl:

Ideally items would go to charity, pass on to family/friend/neighbour so they can be used again but if the items is too damaged then recycling or binning is fine.

Please post as regular as you can with what you have managed to declutter.

Today I have given away 2 boxes and 2 carrier bags of stuff to a jumble sale - I am not counting this as I put that as a goal in March and didn't do it - naughty EE.

Yay. My birdies are back - the kamikaze tits. (They keep flying into my window) Cute for a while, then gets rather annoying!

I have re-filled the feeders in their honor.

Two turtle neck jumpers into the CS bag for today and tomorrow. I have a growing pile to list on fleabay and gumtree, but I don't think I'll be getting rid of the Salopettes before next season now:D

Been for a run and to the gym. Feeling much better.
    Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

Just got back so won't manage a massive amount today. Had a look at budget and with a little jiggling and penny pinching should be OK.
Weighed myself and have 41 pounds to lose. Not as bad as I thought considering my appalling eating habits last month.
Tidying up all my to do lists so they make more sense and starting in earnest tomorrow.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Rules:

Aim – Aim is 16 NSD - this will be tough!

Plan – Budget is sorted and all planned out. Must try to really stick to it this month!

Rest – I have two weeks off this month so will plan some relaxation time. I like the idea of having a drink outside in the evening, weather permitting.

Invite – I visited my grandmother today who I haven't seen in about a year. I'm not particularly close to her but she is very ill and may not make it through the month so I thought it was important to visit her whilst I still have the chance.

Love – I want everyone to love their garden this month. Deal. Will keep on top of the garden, we planted a few flowers last weekend and I will endeavour to keep it looking neat and tidy. I'll also get the garden furniture out of the shed.

Clutter challenge - de cluttering one thing a day sounds like a plan. I think first I'll go through the socks and pick out the ones that don't have a matching friend. Odd socks are taking over the laundry basket!!

    Hi turtles

A going to aim high at 20 as seriously broke this month

P will review budgets on Monday spreadsheet in work.

R trying to but better walking about with my back at the moment. New Fitbit has a relax programme on it - ace concentrating on your breathing.

I - no need to invite family appear each weekend

L - love my garden and my friends do always pop in when walking past to see what I have done new. Tidying up bushes and cutting grasses today, moved some heavy pots Stupid me

I need To get rid of huge bunny cage, sewing machine never use plus wardrobe of clothes which I can't fit into.

    Little veg/ fruit shop today.

Naughty me got a takeaway tonight, spent all afternoon gardening and I hadn't defrosted anything plus couldn't face fish again. Got enough left for tomorrow as well.

Not sure whether to go out for a walk nerve trapping in my back and trying to beat my dd with step challenge again today. Or I could just stretch out on the floor and watch Titanic

  • Clocking in with my first NSD. I almost borrowed some money from my friend but I changed my mind as he was handing cash over. I would have just wasted it on chocolate anyway. Also on decluttering today I gave a little girl a free scooter that my little girl pretty much refuses to play with. I could have sold it but, wouldn't have got much as people seem to be tight.
