  • Evening everyone,

Hope everyone is well :) My last few days have gone like this:

Sun – Finished scrubbing my kitchen from top to bottom. Went to the cinema but the ticket was prepaid and I took my own snack resulting in a NSD. A friend from work texted and asked me to go for a last minute lunch on Mon to which I said yes.

Mon – Woke to find a few (but not many) mouse droppings in the kitchen. Walked to the supermarket for a few essentials and I popped 3 packs of nappies I had in the house into their food bank collection. The little one fell asleep on the way back and surprisingly stayed asleep for 2 hours so I took the opportunity to do some de-cluttering and make a start on clearing the bathroom. Dropped him at the childminders and I went for lunch with my friend. Took 11 items to the charity shop on the way back. This evening the pest control man came to collect his money and after he’d gone I discovered mouse droppings in the bedroom wardrobe. Tis a new discovery and there’s no trap in there. Have emptied out the stuff that was lying on the wardrobe floor and cleaned up the mess. There was droppings on one of my bottom shelves in between the clothes so I’m going to give them all a wash before wearing them again. Also binned four pairs of shoes that I found which had seen better days. I’m off down south to visit my sister on Wed so have been mega organised and packed my case already.

A spend day as I got a few things from the supermarket, will need to go again tomorrow though I forgot to buy bin bags and there were a couple of things that Lidl didn't have. I've also been for a run today.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so took advantage and changed all the bedding, washed it and dried it out side, "Tidied" son's room. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Dirty clothes were in washing basket. sweet wrappers were in waste paper bin (almost) and empty coke bottles had been brought downstairs (nearly all). Tidied up communal area again and sorted out some of my plants. Went for a walk through the park and handed in my repeat prescription to Health Centre. Quite productive but I really must get on with the de-cluttering,
    Have a good day.

It's lovely to be able to sit and have time to read all your posts properly.

Thanks ccl, fingers crossed I've not heard from the dog sitter dog so I'm hoping he is doing fine. The bill was big but at the lowest end of the estimate :) He'll need at least one follow up blood test this week but fingers crossed that shouldn't be too expensive and then I'll out in an insurance claim when I'm back off holiday.

You all sound very productive and motivated :)

    Evening!

    Today I am grateful for:
    • The jokes at work that give us a laugh
    • For supportive colleagues
    • For a day off tomorrow!!!
    Today = NSD number 4

Had a mad, mad day today and came home exhausted. Managed an NSD so feeling good about that. As we approach mid-month I am aware my energies often slide as my money expires - so I'm determined to hold on to my remaining cash to see how if it affects my moods. Savings account matures on 18th but will be reinvesting, as well as doing some debt clearance.

    See y'all tomorrow :)

Didn't sleep last night (Mon into Tues) but found 40 items to declutter and filled the garden bin at 7 a.m. Dropped off around 9am, woke at 1pm but still very tired.

Had a bath and got dressed, took books back to the library, knew there was a 20p fine so bought a few needed bits. Had tried to sort the books online on Monday (1 book due back Monday) but no luck with the website - when I did my e-mails (after the library was closed), I had a reply directing me to a different website - the Council have taken back the library bit from the leisure and cultural trust (the website still in the library books).

Checked the charity bin whilst I was at the library and there is room for my stuff, so will gather more. Also helped an elderly man who was struggling to walk (using a stick and the partition to hold onto and then reached the bit where the wall ended.

Came back, fell asleep fully clothed and woke about 9pm, then briefly at hourly intervals. Not staying awake long, hoping to be on a more 'normal' schedule by morning.

Today I am grateful for the things I have got done, for valuable thinking time (coming to the conclusion that I am in a bit of a dead end, but not sure where I go from here, probably eating too much atm in response - not helpful) and for the forget-me-nots outside the library.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
