It’s good to be back, glad you seem well xx

Not far to go to get to £1k on my debt savings :T I've also got only £132 to go on the joint od, so will clear that by the end of the month. My little odd payments can then go to my emergency savings again, which have been seriously depleted recently with all my spending
Some of it is spending to save money (i.e. annual bills etc), but some of it is stuff that I've been needing/wanting to do but haven't had the cash for years. We've also booked a birthday party for little jwil (£95). We've decided that they can have one party each when they start school, but after that it will be much more low key.
So the spending stops here! My car is playing up again, so got to watch that, but I need to rebuild my savings as a priority.
I've got some more stuff on eBay this week, so hoping some of those items will help do it. We're having a quiet weekend, so will try and hunt out some more stuff.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I don't think you can rake yourself over the coals for buying stuff in advance - it'll save you money monthly. You know the tricks. I think you're doing brilliantly. Your pots are all building up well and you're ahead of all the hurdles.
As for birthday parties it's a having a kid must

Thank you, I have to be focussed to ensure I don't slip back into frivolous spending, but I think I am
I know about the new car fund, I really want to keep this one going until I've got a proper fund, it's really irritating though, there's always somethingHairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »Your debt savings are growing, it's amazing what the PADS can do and good news that the OD is shrinking.
Thank youIt will be a nice feeling to see the back of the overdraft, it's not big and it's not expensive, but it's still there!
